Olof was blinded by the sudden sunlight, but instinctively pulled his weapon-arm back. Idun's blow thus hit the left side of his shield, biting into it. The force of the swing twisted Olof's grip of it, and he took a step forward, trying to trap his opponent's weapon where it couldn't be used. With the shield-edge now towards Idun, and the left side flush against his arm. He swung high with his hammer, aiming at the left side of Idun's head, and followed that up with a shield-punch against Idun's upper right arm.

With her axe lodged into the shield, and swing Olof raise his arm, Idun was forced to let go of her weapon and duck low to avoid the hammer swing, it soaring over her head. In a half-crouched position, and with her shield arm not in a position to block the incoming blow due to the shield's size, Idun raised her now empty right arm, blocking the shield punch with the bracer, and forcefully pushing it aside. As the rim of the shield connected to the bracer, another flash of light was generated, albeit a little dimmer them before.

Right after pushing Olof's shield away, Idun retaliated lunging upwards with her own shield raised. The blow would carry more force then her build would suggest she was capable of, being around the same level of force a hard kick from a large horse would yield.

Olof had no chance of blocking the blow, and flew two metres back when it connected. He landed on his back, skidding a bit before coming to a rest against a block of stone. He pushed himself up in a sitting position, letting go of his shield. He coughed and grimaced in pain - it was apparent that many ribs had been broken. "[small]You're not too bad, girlie. Plenty of strength in that arm of yours. Still, I am not beaten yet.[/small]", he said, raising his hammer into the air. The pattern of lightning down his right arm began to shine yellow, then sparks jumped from his hand to the head of his hammer. This went on for a moment or two, then he pointed the hammer at Idun, and a bolt of lightning shot out at her with a deafening thunder.

Coming out of the lunge after forcing Olof away, Idun steadied herself, her eyes fixed on Olof once more. Seeing the damage she had done to Olof, Idun lost focused, to an extend, not having meant to injure the man so. She snapped out of it when she saw him raising his hammer, which put her on edge, and seeing the sparks start to arc over the hammer, raised her shield at an angle where she could just see over it with her right eye. She would start to advance, while keeping an eye where Olof was aiming at

After Idun took a single step, the thunderbolt was fired. It impacted with the shield, oddly not conducting the electricity, sparing Idun from being fried. No scorch mark would be left where the bolt struck the shield, but the impact did generate another flash of light, as bright as it was when Olof first struck the shield.

The thunderous boom, however, left Idun stunned, standing wobbly on her feet, incapable of doing much more then keeping herself from falling over.

Olof looked shocked that the thunderbolt had not done more, but he quickly shook it off. He closed his eyes and focused on memories of his family, his love and pride for them. Placing his left hand on his chest, a healthy red light glowed from it. At the same time, he swung his hammer gently sideways, and a pillar near Idun creaked as it began tipping over towards here.

Registering the pillar moving from her peripheral vision, Idun looked towards it, seeing it tipping towards her. Not going to try and outrun the pillar with how shakily she stood on her feet, Idun extended her free arm out infront of her, manifesting a solid rainbow path under her feet, which quickly extended forward, curving up a little, and touching the ground again a metre and a half from where Idun stood.

She was carried along the rainbow path without need for movement on her part, only requiring her to keep her arm extended. Taken out of the pillar trajectory and touching down on the other end of the rainbow path, stumbling as she touched down, the path dissipated behind Idun. Idun then began to approach Olof in a hurried walk, almost looking drunk on how she swayed around, although as the ringing in her ears began to subside, her sense of balance began to return with it.

When reaching Olof, Idun would try to kick his hammer out of his hand with a kick aimed at the head, using a fair amount of force in doing so, but nothing extreme. If successful, she would bring the rim of her shield to Olof's throat.

Once the stone had fallen, Olof opened his eyes again. He still seemed pained, but despite that managed to grab his shield and get back on his feet. He leaned against the pillar for support, and brought up his shield to block Idun's attack.

Idun recoiled as her foot struck against the shield, the lack of her not putting extreme force behind the blow meaning her foot didn't go through and subsequently get stuck in the shield. "...Don't give up easy, do you?" She said hurriedly as she balanced herself, her eyes drifting to her axe still caught in Olof's shield.

After she raised her shield high and, hiding her free hand behind it, and took a quick step forward, thrust it towards Olof's. Not a great deal was put in the thrust, as it mostly served as a distraction. Hidden behind her shield, Idun flicked the thumb of her free hand, making light turn solid behind Olof's feet, forming a 10cm tall ledge, Idun hoping Olof would trip over it.

"Hah! I have never surrendered, and I do not plan to begin today!", Olof said, clearing the axe from his shield with a quick hammer-swipe. He then placed one foot on said axe, to stop Idun from taking it. With his back already to the pillar, he did not take a step back as his opponent had hoped. Instead, he let his shield be pushed back by the shield-bash (which made the axe finally drop out, then he pushed forward, locking the shields and obscuring the view down for both. He then swung low with his hammer, aiming for Idun's left thigh.

Unable to see the hammer blow coming, the hammerhead connected against Idun's thigh in full force. She let out a pained scream as her femur broke at the point of impact, while fracturing around the area. Falling backwards, Idun landed on her back with a thud. Groaning, she began pushing herself back with her her right arm and leg, while keeping her shield arm free. As she pushed herself along, Idun bit her lip, steeling herself against the pain.

Olof stood still, lowering his shield and pointing the hammer squarely at Idun. "You are beaten. Surrender, or die.", he said, as the markings on his arm began to glow again.

Idun looked to the hammer pointed at her, then to the markings on Olof's arm starting to glow, having a good idea what could come next. Weighing her option, Idun raised her right hand with an open palm. "... I'm done," Idun responded, a bit weakly. She had considered throwing her shield off, but decided to keep a hold on it, just in case.

Olof brightened up, even going so far as giving Idun a wide smile as he lowered his hammer and replied, "Excellent! I am honoured and glad to have faced you in the field. I did not look forward to finishing you off.", he turned his head to the sky, and called out, "Let it be known then, voice in the sky, that the battle is over and Olof Hjalmarsson is victorious over a most worthy foe!"

After a moment or two of silence, the voice from above replied, "Cease! Olof Hjalmarsson wins due to capitulation. All living contestants, exit the arena." As it spoke, the arena reverted to it's original form, and the great steel door opened.

Hearing Olof's exclamation, Idun blew a small sigh. "You've fought well," She began to say, moving herself up in a sitting position, glancing up at the sky-turned-arena-ceiling as the voice rang out. "And I'm glad they're not making us fight to the death, at least. Whoever they are."

She was about to try and get up, when she felt the bones of her leg mending itself, the arena flooded with healing magic now that the fight had ended. Huh... Merkelig. With her leg mended, Idun would stand up, retrieve her axe, and return it and the shield to the suitcase. After picking it and her coat up, she would leave the arena proper for the locker rooms as instructed, wondering how to get out.

"Indeed.", Olof simply said as he followed Idun into the locker room. There, he noticed Junkil glaring at him. He stepped over and sized the other man up. "What quarrel do you have with me, that makes you disrespect me by glaring?", he asked, quickly getting an answer. [color=000099]"You are one of the Routsi, who use magic for war. Teaching you and your ilk how to use the Gift is the greatest mistake my people have done."[/color] With an amused sneer, Olof walked away. He stepped through a door on the opposite side of the arena door, which led into a very large communal bedroom

OoC: I decided to add a bedroom/dorm, so the locker room doesn't get too filled up.

Reaching the locker room, Idun looked around, her gaze soon falling on Junkil confronting Olof. She looked the two over with some curiosity, and wondered just where the two were from. The accents of both men were somewhat familiar, but she couldn't put her finger on just what it was. Then there was the attire of the two; Idun would have some idea of what the two styles signified from her time in school, and from lessons on old cultures given by her parents, but things seemed off. All in all, she was thrown for a loop.

Blinking pronouncedly, Idun walked further into the locker room, spotting a locker with her name on it, the last name reading "
Code:
Solheim
". She approached the locker, and opened it, surprised to find the rest of her armour inside, it all being made of the same material as the armour pieces she was wearing already.

Inside the dorm, Au'kultz was held in a stasis field in the corner of the room, it being deemed unsafe to let it wander around freely outside of the arena proper.

In the dorm, Idun would see Annika lying on a bed, with the stuffed bear in her arms. Not needing them now, Annika had removed her cold-weather clothing. Her boots, warm socks and coat were in her locker, leaving her in a t-shirt and jeans. A birthmark were visible on her left ankle, coming just below the hems of her jeans' legs.

Had any of the other fighters looked at Annika's locker, they would learn her last name was 'Laukkanen'.

After putting her armour and weapon in her locker and closing it, Idun walked out into the dorm, looking around, and being displeased to find there wasn't an exit in sight. Looking to those gathered inside the dorm, Idun's eyes fell on Au'kultz in its stasis field, the sight of the abomination making Idun shudder, physically feeling ill looking at it.

Averting her eyes from it as she walked further in, Idun's eyes fell on Annika's teddy bear; Or more specifically, the spirit bound to it, which she would be able to see.

"Hei, du." She called out as she approached Annika, slowing down after a few paces as she considered the girl might not understand her.

Being able to see spirits, Idun would also see one, resembling a quite powerful human spirit, bound to the ring on Annika's finger. The spirit bound to the bear was an inhuman fiery being. Annika's own spirit, if Idun could see it, would feel incredibly powerful, though incomplete.

Annika looked at Idun, a little confused. [color=c41e3a]"Hei.[footnote]Pronounced slightly differently[/footnote]" (Hey)[/color]

Unable to see such entities unless separated from the body through either death or supernatural means, Idun didn't see Annika's spirit, her eyes moving between the two spirits she could see, and eventually to Annika herself as she responded.

Stopping a few paces away from the bed on which Anikka laid, she considered how to go about things for a moment, soon settling on the most direct route, noting the two spirits were bound, and assuming Annika knew of the presence of the two beings as such.

"Visste du binder disse to?" (Did you bind those two?) She asked, continuing to speak Norwegian as she heard the language Annika responded in, though not recognising it as Finnish from hearing just one word. As she mentioned the two spirits, Annika pointed at the two.
