Carmen shook her head in response toward Helmut. [color=bb0066] "It seems we're having a bit of a battle royale as it were. This will be interesting..." [/color] Looking toward Oz, she shrugged a bit. [color=bb0066] "As long as I defeat you, I'll be more than happy with a lackluster performance." [/color]

In a dark corner off the locker room, a glimt of gold could be seen. With an inhuman sound, the Meta stood up and stepped into the light. He looked out over the rest of the assembled group, any emotions impossible to see. His rather impressive stature was not neccesarily the largest, but he certainly seemed like one of, if not the most, dangerous induvidual in the room. On his back was a large grenade launcher, with a long curved blade on the underside.

He slowly walked into the arena, watching each combatant carefully.

"I'm... impartial to it myself." James said to LAguna as they entered. "But I've done so much of it now, hell, I dn't really care any more. There comes a point where you've done so much shit that you can never do any worse, you know? Having said that, I'd love to know what the angleis here. I'm not going to kill someone for no reason, if that's what they're thinking." As the Meta approahced James appraised it with steely eyes, assessing it as a threat but showing no trepidation.

"Any injuries up to and including death will be healed within a week, using registered re-generation technology." - A voice reassured James.

"I think this is more for fun, and I think we all get healed at the end anyway." Laguna said to James. He looked around at the multitude of people entering the arena. "Doesn't mean I'm any less nervous about it though..."

"Huh. I... see. Fair enough." James said, both to Laguna and the announcer. With asingle, purposeful motion he clicked the restraining strap off his holster.

"Who's hard enough then?" He said to the others, standing with his arms at his side, ready to go.

The guy slowly walked to the locker room, adjusting his sickle/crossbow arm. "I'm bored of waiting....time for me to have a go..." He said with a slight smirk. his right leg was ticking a bit like a clock.

Covering her ears a bit after the wail, Carmen looked up at the locust swarm and scoffed as she used her wings to kick up dust on the others and to propel herself farther away from them. Afterward, she ran her dagger across the ground and swung up creating a tornado that cut the locust attacking her and sped toward Oz and the combatant who just entered.

OoC: @Kirke Since there were no specific request for an arena, I'm gonna set the stage and say that happened before the fight began, if that's allright.

Laguna was thrown back by the exploding skeleton, tiny bits of bone flying past him, and landed in a crouch a few feet away. He stood, swatting away locusts, and drew his assualt rifle, firing at Helmut

OoC: Just say this happened before the fight began, like as @Hatchy's character entered the arena.

The arena flashed and changed once more. When the glow faded, the arena became a nightime city street. Neon signs and lamposts cut through the darkness, and a soft rain fell from the sky. Something seemed fundamenally wrong with the place, but no-one could really place it.
