"Lackey?!" Oz shouted at Helmut, clearly insulted by his comment. "I shall make you pay for insinuating a Dark Knight of Lodis is nothing more than a 'lackey'!...I think I shall cut out your tongue and shove it back down your throat to make you choke on it. Seems a fitting punishment for slander."

When the locusts descended on him, he seemed nonplussed and simply chanted, "Xoshonell, goddess of fire, by your name command, spirits of flame, do ye my bidding!" A tornado of flames sprang up in front of Oz, instantly incinerating the locusts that had flown towards him. Upon noticing Carmen send a tornado his way, he redirected his firestorm to collide with it, causing them to cancel each other out, though small fires were tossed around and threatened to ignite anything flammable in the area. He charged straight for Helmut, swinging his greataxe horizontally from left to right at his stomach.

James looked about as his challenge went unaccepted and shook his head. Exhaling a puff of smoke from the cigarette between his teeth he marched towards the group that had already entered melee combat. As he walked he drew his semi automatic pistol with his left hand and held it with the barrel pointed to the sky, ready to fight if anyone or anything turned to face him.

OOC: For those who don't know him, James is a trained marksman and a second Dan black belt. Furthermore he's been genetically mutated and is possessed of inhuman strength, speed and reflexes. He's unnaturally tough as well, making him extremely dangerous when he closes to hand to hand range.

Ignoring the harmless locusts, the Meta fired a grenade at the skeleton at long range, then began walking towards James, firing even more grenades against him.
OoC: @Random: This will be an intresting fight. The Meta is a rouge elite agent, with AI to boost his reflexes. He's also got plenty of armour enhancments; cloak, super-strength, time dillation, overshield and bubbleshield. He is also extremly resilient, at one point getting shot more than 10 times in the throat and fought on.

OOC: Ah well. I'd kind of expected this to be a series of duels rather than laying into one target anyway.

James growled in annoyance at the bugs that started to bite into him and swatted them as they landed. Beating them away, he began to fire into the air to dispel them. As they disperxed and he looked around again he saw the Meta approaching. Firing a snapshot at the armoured figure's head, he turned and sprinted to his left to escape the blast radius of the grenades.

The guy looked around the city a little, when he noticed it was raining he grunted a little as the exposed Mechanical parts of his body expand a small armor like plate to protect him from the rain. hearing the sound of battle, the guy put his visor on his right eye and made his way there. "I guess this could be fun....sickle form" His right arm folded parts back to reveal a sickle blade that extended out and swirled around a little.

The Meta sidestepped as he saw the muzzle flare, and fired five more grenades against James, firing ahead of him to try and hit.
OoC: A little something on the grenades: they fly straight and fairly fast, with a small blast radius. They explode on impact.

With Helmut suddenly dropping out, Carmen sidestep the small fire flying at her. She smiled at Oz before extending her hand. [color=bb0066] "Souls of the fallen, hear my cry... 7th circle... Violence!" [/color] Three small magic circles opened up in front of the succubus' hand before a massive stream of red energy flew out of them, heading straight for Oz.

OoC: Alright, since we're all explaining things... Carmen's a succubus with 9 skills based on the 9 circles of hell (Dante's Inferno). She also uses strong wind magic as a secondary. Two of the spells, Fraud, and her ultimate, Lust, allow her to mess with the opponent's sense and completely mess with their minds, respectively. However, she's not exactly armored, so she's shit at close range... though Violence does a ton of damage up close. (equivalent to 3 shotguns blasts from far, 6 from up close with I'm defining as 2 meters or less.)

James yelped as the blast of the last grenade from Meta's first volley caused him to stumble, and he rolled before regaining his feet.

"It's like that is it?" He muttered, spitting out his cigarette. As the Meta lined up to fire his next five shots, James did the same thing, holding his pistol two handed and standing his ground. As the grenades flew he took aim, and shot them out of the air one by one. The first one exploded near enough to him that he squinted against the heat wave. The second and third went off halfway between them, and as he got his eye in, he fired quicker. The last two went off almost as soon as they left the barrel of Meta's weapon.

OoC: In terms of fighting Laguna's bassically normal. His only real power is being able to summon and dispel guns at will. They all have infinite ammo and some of them have special properties or attacks, like a sniper that can ricochet shots, a sticky grenade, and a laser gun called The Ragnarok Cannon that can switch between homing mortars, energy beams and laser blades. He can also plant electrical barriers and produce unlimited supplies of rope.

Also, are we ditching the turn-based thing and just having a free-for-all?

The Meta groweled in anger, and jumped through the explosions at James, coming down quickly with the blade of his weapon aimed to cut James in half.
@Gear: yeah, it didn't really work.

"That's more like it." James grinned savagely as the Meta leapt. When the moment was right he stepped forward and raised his left hand, blocking Meta's strike at the wrist. Before he could react James seized his wrist and yanked him down with a vicious tug, dragging him off balance and aiming a sweeping kick at his shins at the same time. As they crossed he brought his right hand with the pistol up to the back of Meta's helmet, firing into it three times.

OOC: @Gear Best way to do it for single combat in a number of fights.

Oz was greatly annoyed by being halted by the hands, actually growling to express this. He drew his dagger in his off-hand and choked up on the haft of his axe, then used both weapons to cut himself free. By the time he was done, he heard the announcement of Helmut's disqualification and grew even more annoyed.
He was struck by Carmen's attack, but managed to stand his ground against it, his armor glinting blue for a moment as a brighter shine could be spotted coming from his left ring finger if one were observant enough. "Almost forgot about you there." He said with a smirk. Sheathing his dagger, he took hold of his axe with both hands and charged towards Carmen, leaping into the air and swinging downwards on her left shoulder as he came back down.

OOC: Since everyone else is doing it; Oz is an elite knight, skilled in fighting with both martial weapons and attack magic, of which he knows spells from the schools of Fire and Darkness. Aside from that, he's basically just a normal human.

OOC: What, you mean striking with the butt of the weapon? Pretty easily. Or does it have a bayonet affixed to the barrel? Even if that was the case, a simple outside block would still misdirect it, and he woulkd then grab the weapon itself, or his arm if he was close enough.

@Random: look at the picture I posted earlier. He holds at the top of the weapon, so he's holding it backwards, with the barrel back and the blade forward.

OoC: Following the crowd. Deadeye is a part human and part machine, his right leg is completely robotic, his right arm is a combination of a sickle and a crossbow, his left eye is covered with a eyepatch with a corss logo on it. his left hand is replaced with a massive robotic hand like glove, his left foot is also mechanic.
So he can punch, stab and fire bullets pretty fast and pretty hard. but his speed movement like running is pretty low.

Deadeye continued to walk onward till he saw the rest of the group fighting. "Well shoot, looks like everyone's got a partner already...." he muttered, as he flexed out his cross option and waited. throwing up a explosive bullet and catching it with his left hand as he scanned anyone near him.
