James shrugged at the EIA agent.

"Whatever you say." he said indifferently before turning his attention to the unsettling thing with the living whip.

"Just wait. It sounds like the 'creature' is already coming for him. What's after him, anyway?"

Carmen thought for a moment. [color=bb0066] "That may not be such a bad thing on second thought." I can just charm him and things should work out well... [/color] She released the agent and pushed him off toward the arena entrance, seeming not to care about him now. [color=bb0066] "Run along now, dear. Thank you for answering those questions." [/color]

Turning to James, she smiled slightly. [color=bb0066] "I'd venture to guess that it's our Rank 1 combatant. In the last fight, he ran off and started to destroy the simulation. This will be troublesome..." [/color]

"I'm going to kill his pursuer. Slowly." He sheathed his sword also. "We crossed blades before and luck was with him." He sneered beneath his helmet, sharing the air with so many lesser creatures. "I have no wish to leave yet."

 

[Slenn]

The girls proceeded to go down the passageway.

<color=blue>"That voice in the distance... it sounds so familiar...."
They picked up their pace. When they entered the locker room, they weren't quite sure how to proceed.

<color=blue>"I was kinda hoping there'd be a calmer atmosphere for introductions." She said to no one in particular.

 

[Kirke]

"Hey, thanks man. If I survive this, I'll make sure to get you out of here."
The agent ran out in the arena, used his jetpack boots to fly up to the gallery. The Meta saw this, and turned and ran back the way he came.

 

[Random berk]

"That pussy?" James scoffed in response to both Carmen and the whip wielding creature. "I wondered where he scampered off to. Yeah, I wouldn't mind running into him again. Last time he just sucker-punched me and pissed off out of the arena." He glanced at Carmen again, taking his cigarette from his mouth.

"Rank 1? What do you mean? I haven't heard anything about ranks."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"That guy sounds pretty tough..." Laguna said, slightly warily. He turned and saw EMily and Gwen. He waved. "Heya."

Carmen looked over toward the new entrants and smiled a bit. [color=bb0066] "Well, aren't you two the cutest little things? What are your names?" [/color] She cooed calmly. Turning to James, she points toward a ranking board posted in the lockers. [color=bb0066] "The rankings are right there. They keep track of our records and the like." [/color]

She sighed a bit toward Tahril. [color=bb0066] "Hmph. I would have defeated him myself had I not been careless. Looks like we all have a little grudge against him..." [/color]

 

[Slenn]

<color=blue>"Huh? Laguna?"
<color=purple>"Hi. Ummmm... what exactly is happening here?" Her eyes darted around the room. <color=purple>"James?" Both of these guys should be dead.

EMily turned to Carmen.
<color=blue>"I thank you for the compliment. But there's many levels of confusion in the surroundings. I'm EMily. May I ask your name?"

<color=purple>"Name's Gwen." She said to Carmen.

Tahril folded his arms. "I have not the time for this. Out of my way fools." He walked towards the arena in search of his quarry.

 

[Random berk]

James glanced around following Carmen's gaze towards EMily, Gwen and Laguna.
"Hey." He greeted them simply, before spotting the ranking board.

"Oh yeah... didn't notice that before. I guess I was distracted that time." He said, chuckling slightly before going over to examine the board." As he did so, he heard Gwen say his name and glanced around at her again. Now that he paid attention, her face somehow rang a bell, but he couldn't say why.

"Uh... hello. Do I... have we met?"

OOC: @Slenn On that note, I'm going with the angle that all my ressurrected characters have vestigial memories of their WAOA experience, no more. On James, this can be seen by the bulging yellow eye tattooed on his left shoulder.

"...yeah, that's my name." Laguna said. "Um... have we met?"

[Kirke]

The arena was very basic, the walls and floor were just bare metal. The Meta was came out at the gallery, and saw the agent at the other side. He started running around the rim of the arena, while the agent headed for a blastdoor nearby.

OOC: @Gear I see it. Uh... when did James lose a fight to the death? He's only fought once, and the Meta ran away.

Carmen gave the Masons a small curtsy. [color=bb0066] "Carmen St.Luna, currently Rank 2 here. Pleasure to meet you both." [/color] She looked toward the arena and Tahril leaving. [color=bb0066] I don't see him beating that man... Hopefully that agent survives. [/color]

 

[Slenn]

<color=blue>"Nice to meet you. You'll have to explain the rankings to us sometime."
Both of them curtseyed.


<color=purple>"I think..."
<color=blue>"It might have been... I'm not really sure. It seems so long."
<color=purple>"I don't know either. I just have the fleeting memory of both of you dying in some sense or another. That's pretty much all I can remember." Gwen's voice wasn't quite sure about what she needed to say, but she at least wanted to be honest.
<color=blue>"Other than your names and your voices."

 

[Random berk]

"Is that so? Well, that's a weird way of calling out someone you recognise." James said, chuckling somewhat uneasily. He stepped forward and offered a hand. As he did so the large eye tattoo on his bicep was partly exposed under his sleeve.

"You know our names, but I didn't catch yours."

Tahril began sprinting to intercept the Meta, his agility allowing him to scale the walls to reach the gallery.

Laguna was quiet and looked startled for a second. "...I'd think I'd remember dying. Then again, you two actually do ring a bell."

"i don't hold a grudge against him but then again we've never met" he said to Carmen "the hell?! really?! we got children in here are you insane?!?" he said to the the voice "i wonder where am i on the rankings" he said to himself
