Carmen smiled faintly as she shook the robotic hand. [color=bb0066] "Carmen St.Luna. A pleasure, Mr. Knife. So you're a newcomer to this arena? We've actually gotten quite a few of them recently." [/color] She asked, seeming to ask more out of formality than actual interest.

 

[Knife-28]

"Carmen St.Luna eh? That's an interesting name. You don't mind if I just call you Carmen do you?" Knife asks, before answering Carmen's question. "I am a newcomer yea. I got here a while ago, was checking out my room a bit then I decided to have a stickybeak out here."

Carmen casually nodded in response. [color=bb0066] "I don't mind at all. And a 'stickybeak'?" [/color] She tilted her head, not bring familiar with the expression. [color=bb0066] "That sounds to be more fitting to your large feathered beast over there." [/color] She remarked as she glanced over at Clover's projection still failing at assault Doug.

 

[Knife-28]

"It's Aussie slang, basically it just means to have a look at something." Knife explains, "Say I go into a shop not necessarily looking to buy anything in particular, that would be having a stickybeak."
"So where are you from, if you don't mind me asking." He asks.

Carmen nodded a small bit in understanding. [color=bb0066] "I see. Quite the expression. As for where I'm from?... In short, I'm from Hell. How about you?" [/color] She replied a bit flatly.

 

[Knife-28]

"Well, in short, I'm from The Mall." Knife replies. "But Hell, that's interesting. I was actually the King of Hell, once, anyway." He adds with a shrug. "But if you're from Hell you must be a daemon yea?"

Carmen nodded, turning to Knife and looking him in the eyes. [color=bb0066] "Yes, I'm a demon. A Succubus to be precise... " [/color] She tilted her head, slightly interested in him now. [color=bb0066] "You're from a Mall, huh? And you became a King of Hell...? How was that even possible?" Standards must be low compared to mine... [/color]

 

[Knife-28]

"Not just any mall, The Mall. An infinity expanding battlefield containing every store imaginable, where it's denizens fight each other to the death." Knife explains. "Also, you wouldn't happen to know another succubus named Kurumu would you?"

Carmen looked up toward the ceiling for a moment, placing her hand to her chin. [color=bb0066] "Kurumu... Kurumu..... Y-Yes, I've heard of her from someone else... I've yet to meet her in person. And it sounds like the Mall's interesting in numerous rights. A no-holds-barred battlefield. I might enjoy that more than the slowness here." [/color]

 

[Knife-28]

"Yea it's great. I mean, there were times when the plot got a bit heavy but yea it's usually alright." Knife says nostalgically. "Tell you what, if we ever end up in the same Mall I'll kill you last."

"Maybe."

Carmen let out a soft chuckle in response to Knife. [color=bb0066] "Please, sir. Don't hold back on me if we do find ourselves in the same Mall or facing each other in this arena. I appreciate the sentiment though. And a plot? You speak as if your some character in a story." [/color]

"In a way, aren't we all characters simply acting out the story of life?"
"And right there, the moment he starts getting philosophical, that's the moment you should run." Doug interjects.

 

[Kirke]

Tophat sat in the locker room, sharpening its sword.

Carmen giggled a small bit in response to Doug before looking over at Knife again. [color=bb0066] "If that were true, we'd just be marionettes, dancing to a tune and a script set by someone else. One should be able to burn the stage and escape the theatre if that were the case." [/color]

 

[Knife-28]

"Who's to say one hasn't?" Knife adds criptically, "The multiverse is a big place, anything and everything's possible. For example, a sentient tophat who can control whoever's wearing it." He adds, waving a hand at the offending tophat.

 

[Kirke]

Tophat glanced up at Knife.
"Aw, I was trying to keep it a secret. Could have been friggin' hilarious."
It said, standing up as it sheathed it's sword.

Carmen shrugged before looking to the clone and the hat on top. [color=bb0066] "All possible, but could it all be part of a design or just luck? We can never truly know, can we?" [/color] She looked at the clone, and smirked a bit. [color=bb0066] "So I should call you something along the lines of Tophat, hm?" [/color]

 

[Kirke]

"That's the best name I've been able to come up with."

[color=bb0066] "I see... how long have you been like that? Are you just a soul transferred in an object?" [/color]

 

[Kirke]

"I've been around for a few hundred years by now. And yeah, I'm a soul in a hat. Nobody put me here on purpose though, at least that I know of."
