I spoke to some guy at my local GAME who has a friend who works high up in Games Workshop and apparently he said the MMO was a lot of fun and definitely shaping up.

It would be better if it was focused on Dark Heresy or something primarily with the Inquisition. I'm sick of everything being brought to the Space Marine chapters when there are great games out there that feature them, like the Dawn of War series.
That being said this still looks cool. I'll check it out, hopefully it won't be like the Warhammer Fantasy MMO

I can only hope that Space Marines will be far from common. Seeing thousands of them wandering around (especially Blood Ravens...grrr) would ruin the whole thing. I just hope all the other facets of the game are represented. Hell, it'd be awesome if you could become the Princeps that pilots the Titans, or an Ork Stompa-driving Mek. I'll keep an eye out, as maybe this time I'll have found an MMO that sticks.

Almost the same thing happened with W:AR- took me almost a minute to work out that it wasn't WoW. But the big titan was a dead giveaway here.

I shan't be making that mistake again, even though the source material is great, I won't play a terrible game just because the universe is interesting.

looks great, ill defenantly be keeping an eye on this one, i just hope the Necrons get included.
Well i just Jizzed in my pants...gimmie a sec as i change...OK back well i heard roumers bout this...and now that i saw the trailer OMG i cant wait! i play the table top Necrons ftw!!! i might just get back into mmo's. But what i expect is 4 to 6 factions to start with to choose from...and then hopfully we can expect the Tau/Necrons and other Branches of the Emperium to show up to play sorry to you Tyrannids but i got a bad feeling that they wont be a playable Race *just a feeling after looking back at other mmo's* but.. if im proven wrong which i hope i am o lord ill run out of pants ><.
Warhammer Online (WAR) was made by Mythic, who previously made Dark Ages of Camelot (DAoC). DAoC was fairly successful at it's time, and received a bit of praise with it's RvR mechanics and other stuff. WAR was like a watered down, WoWified version of it.IzisviAziria said:
