There are more games I'm really fond of, but these are special to me. The first two I can play for hours and hours and still enjoy greatly and the other three are games that I really felt immersed in. It's pretty rare that I get caught up and intrested in the story of a game.
If MMO's doesnt count I'd like to push the other games up a step and add the first Ratchet & Clank game.

Hmm ... I'm giving these ratings considering how much I enjoyed them *AT THE TIME OF PLAY*. For example, I had mad crazy fun playing Mario Kart on my SNES, but frankly it's short and dated and quite easy compared to games released these days.

Mount & Blade (including Warband + With Fire & Sword) (PC)

But Mount & Blade, Pirates!, and Defender of the Crown are all pretty much the same game but of steadily increasing complexity and challenge (from DotC - easiest - to M&B - hardest)
