That first-person eye-meets-thumb cam was pretty amazing to watch, if only before the whole blinding thing.

Well, looks sorta epic--great visuals, but I always thought the whole concept of Kratos and his bouts with the gods were sort of stupid conceptually. I guess it comes from my earlier knowledge in actual Greek Mythology. Still, this doesn't stand out as anything special or unique and Kratos' incessant grunts made the scene a little more comical than epic...and there was really no point to the eye-gouging...it wasn't like Poseidon slept with his mother or anything. I know it's god of war, but Kratos has about as much depth as a seething ball of testosterone--Actually that's exactly what he is. Yes, I played the first game and wasn't impressed. Don't get me wrong--it's good, but not as extraordinary as the mainstream reviews would have it. Actually, this is one of the games that lead me away form game-critics in general.

German video game narrations are so terrible, the magazine people often do it themselves and most of them have a terrible speaking voice, not very eloquent. It's probably best that most of you can't understand it.

Right so now we know that "Triffer" is German for "hits" or maybe "combo", I'll have to scream "TRIFFER" to feel suitably awesome, possibly reliable and efficient.

The legs or claws he's got in God Mode, got a feeling of the Kraken from God of War 2, just felt that was put in place to give it a bit of continuity since the Kraken was so out of place in that game... I mean its a Kraken, got off my Greek Myths you god damn monster!
While the graphics are stunning, I found the violence overwhelming. But perhaps, as this is my introduction to the series, I have missed something important to the story that could justify such brutality and torture?

I've been considering trying out the God of War series for a long time, and I think this video has convinced me; the game is absolutely gorgeous!
I'll probably play from first to last as I have the consoles necessary to do so, and I might as well, right? I've heard the others are really great games too, so I don't want to skip them just so I can salivate over this one. Even so, this is just... damn! It's so cool!
Oh, and just letting all of you who refuse to watch it know, there's really not that much by way of spoilers: It's basically just one long fight scene that you can pretty much expect if you read the title. Still, I was really impressed; looks like a very cool game.
