Hmm I've got the demo and I'm not too impressed; I suffered a slight drop in frame rate during certain combos (L1 + square spam) against multiple opponents.
That demo's over a year old ya know.
No I wasn't aware of it until yesterday, not sure how I missed it. Although it's still doesn't seem as amazing as everyone is saying it is :/

While the graphics are stunning, I found the violence overwhelming. But perhaps, as this is my introduction to the series, I have missed something important to the story that could justify such brutality and torture?

Definitely an anti- hero, in the fullest sense, and undeniably epic in scope.
Let me fill you in King of December, Kratos is a brutal psychotic because he was tortured by the Gods, yet befriended by the Titans (kinda, he kinda kicked their arses too).

Now the Gods tortured him by making him to the SPINNING BLADES over and over again, he would get to the top of Mount Death and almost finished the spinning blades when the Gods would hack the collision detection and a fucking blade four miles away would register as hitting him and pushing him to his death where he would have to start the SPINNING FUCKING BLADES ALL OVER AGAIN...

This torture lasted from the start of Greek Mytholodgy right up until David Jaffe stopped swearing, which indecently was 23rd March 2009....

Now David Jaffe has started swearing again so Kratos is pissed off again.

In conclusion, spinning blades rage + david jaffe swearing with a side order of Kratos = brutality and the universal constant.

The demo was made almost a year ago. There has been a lot work on the game since then. It's nothing compared to the final product.

Best reference ever, I must say. You made me laugh quite hard.

Oh you people just love to taunt us don't you?

My will power is strong though, I can wait until next week when I shell out a small fortune for both game and console.

Damn that narrator! I would certainly have listened to the dialogue in German, since das ein sehr kräftiges Sprache ist.

And yeah, it is "auf Deutsch", not "in Deutsch".
