Watches, how do you wear yours?

I wear my watch the typical way, topside of my wrist. But I wear it on my right arm, and some question me about this, as I am not left handed (Which some think would explain it). So you wear your watch however you see fit!

I wear it the standard way, though on my right wrist(aparently some unwritten rule state it should be on the arm you don't write with)

I used to wear watches all the time, but I stopped about several years ago since I have to get a pretty wide band because of my thick wrists. The last one I had was awesome, it was one of those leather cuff ones, and it was black. Sucks during the summer, but it was a great watch.

Checking my phone is pretty much the norm for me nowadays.

The two of you are damn awesome. My Girlfriend has a pocketwatch too, and doesn't hesitate to break out the SteamPunk as a result. I love people with Pocket Watches, they're just so dapper and, well, awesome.
I have a pipe too, which I stand outside our local gaming store with my buddies and chill with. All I'm missing at this point is a monocle... XD Or a top hat...

Meanwhile I sit outside with my hat and get asked if I'm in a Band, or in the IRA. =|
No one wears Trilbys anymore. Hell, there are no hats in Ireland. I'll walk down the street in town and there'll maybe be one other person with a hat.

The standard way I guess - facing up on the left hand wrist, even though I'm left handed. Of course I could use my mp3 player or phone but they are a lot less quick to get out of the pocket, especially when you're walking.

I have a pocket watch I carry. There is no substitute for that kind of awesome.
I used to do that, but it's a pain to wind it up every day (or rather, I keep forgetting). Do you use a battery-powered one, or do you just remember to wind it up every time?

I usually have the phone as a substitute for a watch during workdays.
When I go out however, I have a nice skeleton pocket watch, and I do have a nice suit with a waistcoat to go with it. :)

That is a seriously awesome watch.
OT: I don't wear a watch. I got a device called a phone. It also got GPS so I don't need to learn where I live.

Yes, as already said the watch is an obsolete accessory, it's more a jewel than a usefull item.
So if had a watch i wouldn't wear it because i have a phone but if I had a Rolex on the other hand I would wear it all time (on my left wrist, here in Nehterlands people say the right wrist is the gay wrist).

I'd love to use a watch but my wrists are so damn skinny, it looks horrible. I just use my iPhone instead, though I'd love to be able to use my watch.

I wear mine the same way as the OP. It's a lot more natural for reading.
Also, I can't use my phone when I'm at school (I'm not stealthy enough to not get caught) so a watch is really handy for checking the time.

I've taken it to wearing it with the face on the flat of my wrist, facing towards me when I have my palm upturned, because I find it easier and more accessible, as I do most things with my palms facing upwards. Everyone else however finds it weird and cannot fathom my logic, preferring to wear it the 'standard' way, or just keep it tucked in their pocket, unused thanks to the wonders of the Smartphone.
I prefer it that way as well, the face won't get scratched as easily on the inside of your wrist. The strap on mine is half broken though, so it sometimes gets in the way wearing it like that.

I am depressingly normal in my watch wearing. On my left wrist worn the normal way round. I still don't understand how people can go without one and just rely on their phones (but then, I'm much more likely to go out without my phone than without my watch, so *shrug*).

I wear it on my right hand. I was always confused as to why people ask me if I'm left-handed when they saw my watch there; it's just how I've done it since I was a kid.

I haven't worn a wristwatch in five years. I've only used a cellphone for three. Yes, that's right, I spent two years with no portable time device and those were my junior and senior years in college. Cool, huh?

However, when I did wear a wristwatch I wore it on my palmside like the OP. Also, I wore it on my left hand.

It's like I came back from the future to ninja myself. Weird.

So yes, off hand, on wrist, facing out when hands at sides. Much easier than pulling a phone out of my pocket.
