Watches, how do you wear yours?

I recently received a Watch from my Father after it got too hard for him to read it properly, and I've taken it to wearing it with the face on the flat of my wrist, facing towards me when I have my palm upturned, because I find it easier and more accessible, as I do most things with my palms facing upwards. Everyone else however finds it weird and cannot fathom my logic, preferring to wear it the 'standard' way, or just keep it tucked in their pocket, unused thanks to the wonders of the Smartphone.

So Fellow Escapists, how do you wear your Watch, or do you even use one at All? And why is it you do what you do?

I wear my watch by using a black crayon to draw on on my left wrist.

I wear it in my mobile phone.

The watch is a redundant accesory. Might as well wear a bracelet.
[sub]When I did wear a watch, I wore it the 'standard' way though.
I think I left my last wristwatch on the roof of the family car during a vacation in Denmark (Bornholm), and lost it.[/sub]

Watches like these are the only ones I can understand people carrying around.

When I wore a watch, it was on the top side of my left wrist, just above said wrist.

I use my iPhone to check what time it is. So I don't really need a watch. Although I'd imagine that simply having a watch on your wrist would be more convenient than searching through your pockets to get your phone just to check what time it is.

Also: Cyanide and Happiness always seem to have the right comic strip for the right situation. :p

My watch is built into a carabiner, so I wear it on my right hip, upside-down so I can tilt it up and read the time.

Well strangely enough from my childhood through High school, I had wore my watch on my right wrist eventhough I write using my right hand. It didn't felt awkard with me from writing with the watch on. I don't know why but it felt weird having the watch on my left wrist like anyone else.

I stop wearing a watch after High school because by then I had always got out my mobile phone to check the time.

I did however bought a new watch when I had work experience in a retail place where I wasn't allow to have my mobile on me and the clock was in the store room where I forget about the time easily. This time I now wear it on my left wrist now.

My cellphone is my watch. Has been ever since I got my first one around the age of 10.
If I had a watch I'd probably wear it with the face on the top side of my right wrist.

I have a pocket watch I received as a two-year anniversary present. I wear it in my pocket. As you are supposed to. So really it's about as convenient as using my phone, but I feel far more fancy. :D

I don't usually wear a watch, I just check the time on my mobile phone.

I have a gold watch, but I only wear it with my suit.
And I only wear a suit if I really have to.

I always preferred pocket watches because I have small wrists, and they are uncommon. My father gave me one when I went to the WSOP to use as a card weight. It served me well. I would wait until the action got to me to check my hand (since I always watch everyone as they check their hands.) Then I would either instantly fold, or I would spin my watch around while I was deciding how much to raise. Having a set routine prevented me from giving off tells, and It seemed to intimidate everyone else at the table.

The two of you are damn awesome. My Girlfriend has a pocketwatch too, and doesn't hesitate to break out the SteamPunk as a result. I love people with Pocket Watches, they're just so dapper and, well, awesome.

I wear my analog on top of my right wrist, because I'm left-handed. It's my primary source of timekeeping. I don't always carry my phone around. It's something of a fashion statement too. A nice shiny watch, to outshine all those iphones.
