Where is Vrex360 when you need him?
Anyway, I noticed that not many people play as Elites. People are sometimes... 'nasty' to people who do play as Elites.
They say it is the 'nooby' choice, etc.
If anything, it is harder to play as an Elite... get to be a bigger target...
I no longer play Halo 3. Hell, I don't go on my 360 much anymore...

I don't play Halo much at all, but I believe people dislike Elite players because they're harder to get headshots on.
Or something like that.
Either way, I play as a Spartan because I prefer having all ten fingers on the screen, not just six.

I used to love playing as Elites, until I was being called a Dinosaur by an entire Custom Games lobby. I've never gone back, I can't endure their hate again...
I generally play as a spartan in Halo 3. The hatred towards elites seem to be from the fact that people have a harder time hitting their head which is crucial in SWAT.
It looks like I'll be playing mostly Elite in Reach though with their new design and advantages over the spartans.

I think elites are cool - I play as a spartan in the campaign, so whats wrong with a little change. I also have the most obnoxious color scheme imaginable - Gold/Yellow with Purple trim - I walk around the map like a bloody lighthouse for bullets, but I don't really care, because IMO I look coooool

Seems like Elites are finally getting to show their true power in Reach. They're gonna be taller, faster and have stronger shields than the Spartans.

So there doesn't appear to be any mixed teams, implying you can't choose whether to be a Spartan/Elite when you want.
Unfortunately it doesn't look like you'll have a choice. From what we've been told so far there will only be these 3 scenarios:freetogoodhome said:

I always played Elite. If people say its unfair, fuck 'em. They'll say EVERYTHING is unfair, unless they use it themselves. I like the look much better. Elites are fucking sweet looking.

For me, Halo is literally a time killer, its short sweet and shiney, not unlike an apple. But I find, that being an elite, spartan players will try and order you out of vehicles so that they can use them. Then it again, it might just be that they are full time dip shits. who knows.
