I play as an Elite every now and again. The diffrence in body shape and the diffrent hit box can throw some players off, especially in SWAT.

Also, have you ever been met with prejudice because you play as one?
hahahahahha this. if i could do the wort wort wort i would def. be an elite tooStubee said:I would play as an elite if i could go "wort wort wort" but alas...
BTW prepare for random people offering their negative opinion on Halo games despite not being asked for it
High five my good man!e2density said:I don't play Halo.
I'm proud of it.
Anything the Elites do seem unintentionally hilarious.FalloutJack said:Hi there. I don't play Halo and I really don't have any intention to. However, I can offer some piece of advice. If you're feeling down about being a somewhat squat-looking alien in an area full of tall color-coordinated powersuits, just pretend you're in Machinima. That's right, you heard me. Do something entirely goofy, wacky, off-the-wall confusing and freak the hell out of the opposition. I've no idea if it helps the Elite cause at all, but YOU'LL be laughing, at least.
Well, when I was writing this, I had the guys from "Spriggs" in mind (that being Soltri, Boltri, and Rotri), singing their 'Napalm Sticks To Little Kids' song. Suffice to say, I really don't know much about Halo at all, aside from what I pick up here and there. So, if you say they're hilarious as is, I'll take your word for it.Irridium said:Anything the Elites do seem unintentionally hilarious.FalloutJack said:Hi there. They just make me laugh my ass off XD
OT: I play as both Spartan and Elite. Both are fine, and neither has any advantage over the other. Granted Elites are harder to headshot from behing I've found, but thats about it.
haha, I love Spriggs!FalloutJack said:Well, when I was writing this, I had the guys from "Spriggs" in mind (that being Soltri, Boltri, and Rotri), singing their 'Napalm Sticks To Little Kids' song. "Oooh, tastes like baby, with a little barbecue sauce... Ohhh, so tasty..."
Basically this, thank you sir, you encapsulate what I was getting at with this thread.Vrex360 said:Relax my comrades, I am here at last.
Man this was a thread made for a guy like me.
To answer your question, yes indeed I do dislike the degree of prejudice the elites in multiplayer recieve and I also dislike how few of us there are compared to the Spartan populace.
I mean I have a lot of friends who play Halo and all of them play as Spartans. We have splitscreen parties with seven Spartans and I am the one elite and man, do I stand out.
Naturally the bullying starts, partly just to annoy me... in fact in the presence of my other friends I think that's the main reason.
As for Xbox live, well I guess people dislike Elites for the events in the Halo story, I can see why they would not like the Elites based on what they've done to the human race in the past (the only thing the Elites did wrong was not finish the job if you ask me) but that's really no excuse for bullying the people who play as them, or making youtube videos dedicated to mocking them.
Sometimes I think the whole 'I can't headshot elites' is just an excuse on behalf of a crappy shot but hey, that's just me.
I always liked playing as the Elites in multiplayer partly becaue of how awesome their race is, partly because I like being unique and mostly because it just feels right for me personally. It does annoy me that people can't accept that, plus that whole 'killing evil aliens hell yeah humanity' thing really puts me off to a degree and I find it hard to relate to, hence the Elites are the logical choice for me.
Good point. I haven't seen him in a while...it's a shame, really. It was nice having an Escapist regular who doesn't have an irrational hate for Halo.Greyfox105 said:Where is Vrex360 when you need him?
Anyway, I noticed that not many people play as Elites. People are sometimes... 'nasty' to people who do play as Elites.
They say it is the 'nooby' choice, etc.
If anything, it is harder to play as an Elite... get to be a bigger target...
I no longer play Halo 3. Hell, I don't go on my 360 much anymore...
Derp, nvm. Still, I haven't seen a post form Vrex in a while, so this is nice.Vrex360 said:Relax my comrades, I am here at last.

Maybe too stronger word.gamefreakbsp said:....Are you serious? Prejudice? It is just a video game multiplayer skin....I didn't think prejudice extended to that.
