The Marines, including Jonah, had been off on a long range recon through the city when Jonah felt a warp disturbance. The warp however is impossible to predict and so nothing was found. They arrive back at the ship.

Dionysius looked over at the marines and rose a hand in greeting.
"Hello there! You missed a fight!"

"Regulus? Damn." Tarkus says. Lysandros is visibly angry while Caim is impassive. "It was not our time." Jonah says. "We shall be more prepared next time."

Dionysius took of his helmet and looked at Tarkus with tired eyes.

He saw a slight nod from Tarkus, and walked inside the ship.
Sleep... Yes, that is needed now.
He found a bed and lied down on it, still in armour, and slept.

AEanna sat in the darkness outside the ship. The desert at night was cold enough to kill a normal exposed human in a few hours of inactivity, but it didn't affect her as she gazed off into the wilderness, listening to the scuttling of the small nocturnal rodents and arachnids that struggled for survival in a nightly hunt on the endless sand. She had not fed since early the previous night and once again her face had a drawn, haggard appearance to show for it, but it barely entered her mind as she reflected on what had happened mere hours ago. Dromaeus, charging out of Sovngarde itself to aid them. It seemed like it could only have been a dream.

Tophat woke up, and walked outside.
That was odd, I don't usually sleep that long.

AEanna heard the soft footsteps in the sand near the ship but didn't move, lost deep in contemplation.

Tophat sensed AEannas presence, and froze up little.
Well... Crap.
It kept looking out over the city, admiring the lights.

As the footsteps stopped off to one side, AEanna came around from her trancelike calm. "Who approaches?" She whsipered. Glancing to the side, she saw Tophat's outline gazing out towards the glimmering metropolis on the horizon, a stark grey figure in the darkness, the colour of her night vision subdued despite its sharp resolution.

"Tophat."
Tophat still looked at the city.
Quite the view.

"Hmm." was AEanna's only reply. She had not forgotten what Charlotte and Laura had told her, and still didn't know how to proceed with Tophat.

Tophat walked over and leaned on the ship, some meters away from AEanna.

AEanna turned her gaze on him, invisible in the inky blackness, but she could see Tophat quite easily.
"We have not spoken in some time." She remarked as if commenting on the weather.

"Indeed we haven't."
Tophat said, still looking out over the city.
