OOC: Not a full scale invasion. I'm thinking just Harbinger, a small number of Destroyers, and some carriers. They won't land this time, just seed troops and knock out global communications. A thin trickle of blood runs through the thick fur of a wolf.
"Good, the bullets went right through... Need something to patch him up."
A needle pierces through the dying man's organs, and weaves around.
"Lung."
Two metallic lungs are brought forward. The old ones are cut in two and cauterised. The new ones are attached to the remnants of the old.
"Plating."
Black carbon plates are placed under the patient's flesh.
"Heart."
A heart, similar to the lungs, is brought to the doctor. The old, ruined, one is cut loose. The new one is quickly slotted in and hooked up.
"Mental wipe, direct order unit."
A small metal plate is brought up. The patient's skull is cut open, and the plate is inserted.
"Eye."
An eye is replaced with a mechanical one.
The figure is sewn up, but the carbon plates over the abdomen are left exposed.
"System active. Move back."
A green beam of light points at small sensors on each augmentation. Each one slowly beeps online and glows a dull blue
"So, is he going to come around soon?"
The organic eye flicks open, and the other one glows red.
"I'll take that as a yes."
The eye switches off and the lids shut.
"Adding speed boosters, muscle expansion augmentations and blue-shift cloaking."

Joel continues walking, slowly. He grunts with each step.
"Oh, just put the poor bastard in the chair. We can work on walking later."
Omicron helps Joel back into the wheelchair.
"What about Miranda? Can we try that system?"
"Miranda? What's that?"
A woman walks in.
"I think we can. 1% first, Theta." she says.
"Polymatheia?"
"Yes. Just do it."
Joel's mechanical eye flickers and a red beam pulses out.
"10%"
"No."
"10% or I put it up to 20% myself."
Theta presses a button.
"FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!"
Joel screams, and the blast of energy pushes him back.
Theta presses a red 'CANCEL' button.
"10% is too powerful."
"Who the fuck are you!?" Joel yells.
"We're the people who are going to help everyone."
"I'm leaving."

Polymatheia throws Joel a hooded jumper.
"Wh- what?"
"You'll need it. It's chilly out there."
