AEanna cursed as Tophat's attempt at control failed and she lunged forward. Carrying out a controlled downward strike, her blade severed three quarters of the way through its neck, splattering Tophat with its blood. She then lashed out with a foot, kicking it hard in the side of its head and doing more damage to the small bit of flesh and cartilage keeping its neck together. Then she realsed what it had been doing to Tophat.
"No..."

Dromaeus went after the sixth vampire, blocking its strikes with Ysgramor and sweeping its legs out from under it, then slamming Ysgramor's rim down on its face before shouting again.
"YOL TOR SHUL!!!" As the vampire went up in flames, he glanced at Laguna.
"Need any help?"

Laguna dodged the slash. "I'm good thanks!" He armed another sticky, placed it on what was left of the vampires head, and ran.

 

[Chungus]

The vampire that was feeding on Tophat's body was almost decapitatd by AEanna, it pulled its fangs out of Tophat and lept backwards. Its head dangled sideways, only being connected to its neck by a few sinews. After stumbling about, it charged at AEanna and tried to gore her.
The vampire attacking Drom was trown up by the shield bash then set ablaze by the shout.
Its ashes scattered in the wind.
As Laguna placed a sticky bomb on the vampires head it tried to slash him again, but the bomb exploded before it could.
Pieces of its head and upper torso flew all over the place, yet no blood flowed from the corpse.

OoC: Only the vamp charging at AEanna remains.

Laguna took a moment to wipe bits of bad guy off his shirt. This would be a real pain to wash. He turned, and saw one last target. He drew his sniper, and fired at the head.

AEanna was staring at the wounds on the neck of Tophat's body and barely noticed the vampire until it was on top of her. As she turned to fend it off it knocked her katana from her hands and she fell with it on top of her. She groaned with exertion as she tried to hold the vampire off with one arm while itbore down on her withall its weight, and with her other hand she scrabbled for the Soul Trap dagger. Finally drawing it from its sheath, she suddenly realised that the vampire wasn't moving. Laguna's bullet had torn its head off, and the momentum had slammed its body into her. She laughed weakly and pushed the corpse off before getting to her feet.

 

[Chungus]

Right. Time to leave.
Let us see how the one brought back from the dead is doing...
Regulus teleported away.

Laguna dispelled his sniper, and sighed wearily. "Phew. Those guys were actually kinda tough. How did they survive all that punishment?"

 

[Random berk]

Dromaeus walked over to the others and picked Tophat up from the ground, instinctively wiping his war axe against the back of the fallen ampire, even though there was almost no blood on it.
"Curious foes indeed. They made for an exhilerating fight, but what were they?" AEanna turned to face them, looking extremely worried and uncertain.
"Look. It was... it was drinking his blood." She said, pointing at Tophat's body.

OOC: Christ, is there only three of us now?

Laguna leaned in to look at the wound. "Drinking his... no." He stood up sharply. "No no no no no. Please, tell me this isn't what I think it is. They cant be..." There was desperation in his voice.

 

[Random berk]

Dromaeus dropped to one knee and examined the wound closely, turning the head one way and then another.
"Fang marks." He stated grimly, then glanced around to find one of the severed heads. AEanna took several steps back, staggring as if drunk. She put her hands to her mouth.
"Oh, please Divines no. This cannot happen, I beg of you..."

OOC: I was afraid something like this would happen. Even being pessimistic I figured that not many people would be on for this, but three? God damn it.

OOC: Howdy folks. Looks like I didn't miss the whole vampire thing at least.

Four was engrossed in a game of Strip Solitaire and barely noticed the fight until it was over. She put her hat, coat and left shoe back on before rejoining the group.

Laguna looked at AEanna, unable to talk for a second. He sighed. "Look, I... I hate to say it but it does look like... I'm sorry."

 

[Random berk]

"NO!" AEanna screamed at Laguna, nearly hysterical. "Do not say it! It has to be a trick, some illusion, or some creature warped by Chaos, or Something! This cannot... they cannot be..." she could not continue, shaking and hyperventilating. As this went on, Dromaeus picked up a severed head and peeled back its lips. Sure enough, its canines were long and elongated, and the wound was bloodless. He grimaced and dropped the head before kicking it away.

Laguna walked over to AEanna. He put a hand on her shoulder. "We all know you didn't mean for this. It's not your fault."

 

[Chungus]

Regulus teleported back to where he had left the militia man, only to find he had left.
Well, I was not expecting this.
As Regulus turned around, the militia man lept from a nearby tree and pointed his pistol at its face.
"If you knew I was a vampire... why did you bring me back?"
"Did I not say? So that thou may take revenge on the one that forced this fate on thee."
"This fate is worse then death! Living as a parasite, praying on others...
The very thought of it sickens me..."
"If it is so bad, I can just as easily send thee back from whence thou came."
The militia man lowered his gun but said nothing.
"That is what I thought.
Now then, do thee want vengence or not?"
"Yeah. Vampire or not, I still wanna make that ***** pay."
"Excellent.
But simple guns will not do the trick, as thou well know.
To--"
"Funny." The militia man said before Regulus could finish his sentance.
"Ahem. To give thee a fighting chance, I will offer thee some of my power.
Do thee accept my offer?"
"Sure, I'm already cursed, can't possibly get any worse."
"A wise choice." Regulus said as some of its black aura flew into the militia man.
"Feels wierd... but whatever, how do I use this power?" The man asked as he turned his back on Regulus.
"It will most likely come natural.
One more thing before thou leave. Should the matter be brought up, do not mention I brought thee back from the dead.
Should they ask about thy newfound power however, tell them the Chaos gods bestowed it upon thee."
"Sure, whatever." The man said as he took off.

 

[Drakmorg]

Four looked over Drom's shoulder and saw the head before he kicked it away. She gasped and looked at AEanna with a horrified expression.

 

[Random berk]

"No... I cannot have caused this... I cannot have done this to them." AEanna sobbed, sagging to her knees. Dromaeus came up beside Laguna.
"It certainly looks like they are vampires." He muttered in Laguna's ear. "I cannot think what else they could be. Shor's bones, what now? What can we do?"

Equius walks over to Dromaeus and Laguna. "Do you know what these people were?" he asks.

"I dont know. We have to think of some way to get her blood, or this is gonna keep happening." Lagun whispered back.

"And how do you propose that we do that? Vampires need to feed from a living person, or at the very least a fresh corpse! The scholars may not be right all the time, but this is common knowledge!" Dromaeus hissed.
