James just stared for a moment.
"I'll be honest. What you just said made fuck all sense to me. I don't see how a gun could have a soul, or what it would mean if it did. And I still don't understand how they could be so rare when a line of gunmen could be ttrained quickly and do untold damage to an opposing army who use more old fashioned weapons."

Riou scratched his head. "Trust me, I understand your point. I knew Clive. His gun was powerful, but I still knew very few with them. I'm not sure of the details of it's function or creation. All I know is that they were rare. What I do know is that Clive's gun had a will of it's own. It had refused to fire on Elza on more than one occasion. Something that Clive, who was an expert with the gun, didn't understand. I can't really tell you more than that as it is pretty mysterious to me as well."

OoC: Clive appears in both Suikoden and Suikoden 2. In Suikoden 2 he has a huge story event that revolves around him searching for Elza. Unfortunately it is timed. You literally have to get to certain areas within certain time frames to initiate an event. I think the final one, near the games end, has to be made within 12 hours. So, there's no room for you to do any of the side events or recruit other characters (all this can take 50+ hours). You have to speed run it.

OOC: Back.

The sisters return from getting ready in the ethereal plane and head to the bridge of Four's ship to eat their breakfast burritos with sausage.

@ALL: Very well, If I must explain the entirety of Koltanium.

In its most rawest form, Koltanium is rather useless metal unless an electrical current goes through it, then it can manipulate Universal Constants (Depends on certain current flow and other things, but let's not go there) Unless it is refined, which requires usually requires master smiths of my Universe to forge, don't expect much from just having it.

Unless you can somehow forge it... Ah wait, Scarlet... Nevermind. Second of all, Winter and Austin know enough of the ore to manipulate to their means, such as Winter's forging of the daggers for Gerry.

But still, Koltanium is vulnerable to continuous heavy fire at it, or just attacks. The only thing that it is really doing for Winter is giving an armor bonus to her Crusader Suit and Vaisaga Armor. Without that, she pretty much as vulnerable to anything and everything. Like what you saw with Makoto's energy blast, but alas, apparently nobody pays attention.

@Wacky: Ah so... You have a personal vendetta? Thanks, glad to know.

Winter sighs along with Austin. "This is getting us nowhere."

OOC: I hate that. Dead Rising could have been much more interesting if you weren't on a schedule the whole time.

"Huh. Well, personally I'm just fine with my weapons being cold, dead pieces of metal. Combat is already a risky business without your fucking gun deciding that the target deserves to live more than you do." He paused, looking thoughtful.
"Come to think of it, are you sure his gun didn't just jam?"

"Well, as I understand it, Storm had chosen Elza to become the next guildmaster. It was the guildmaster's weapon, but she was effectively framed for murder and Clive went after her. Still Storm wouldn't fire as it considered her it's master. And those were the only time, it refused to fire. Both times against the same person. That's a strange coincidence." Riou explained hoping that clarified some things.

OoC: Tell me about it. I have never seen that series of events, only read about it. It's really hard to not go out recruiting other characters when that's half the point of the game. And it was littered with minigames. Like the cook off competition. Lots of fun there.

OoC: Just so I can beat the crap out of Winter...
*Raise Eyebrow* There has been plenty of characters that have had their chances... But nobody seems to pay attention. You people saw from the fight against Relius, the treant thing and magic in @Drak's plot and other things as well that Winter is by no means invincible.

Why you people are trying to be like that to me and my characters is beyond me...

Winter and Austin get up and leave the ore where it is.

OOC: @Rosh. I'm not trying to back stab you. I'm only trying to point out what I've observed.

Did I already know that it can control u-constants? Yes. Can one assume that it requires Void people to forge it? Yes. Can one assume that heavy armor eventually breaks down at some point? Yes. Does the degree of its hardness become a little vague at times? Yes.

OoC: Good point. Well, it was more like 'So it would be possible' to beat the crap out of winter. That's pretty much it. Or any whatchamacalit plated foe.
@All, who wants a small little fight?

OOC: Go for it Wacky.

"Fair enough. Point still stands though. When you're on a battlefield, it doesn't matter who your target is if he has a gun pointed at you. You need to be able to pull the trigger and know that your weapon will fire, or you're dead."

@ALL: Fuck it, why do I even [sub]bother[sub][sub][sub][sub][sub]Should probably just stick with the fucking Gundam and ME/Halo thread if people are like this...[/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub]
@Wacky: It was always possible... Look at what @Drak: did with his plot and how it work, damaging her and Austin is, and always has been very, very, very possible.

Austin looks at his wrist communicator, raising an eyebrow. "Huh."
"What is it?"
"Looks like Company GreyFox has found us somewhere along with membrane lines of the Multiverse, but getting here might be some trouble."

OoC: Okay, well then, I'll just... do this...
The missing Ore appears next to winter.

The group can hear some footsteps, like a group is coming.

"Agreed. I'm just explaining things as best as I know them. But being able to rely on a weapon is vital. We had a similar issue with some weapons known as fire spears. They were spears that would emit fire. A devastating weapon to be sure. But the person that was holding them hadn't taken good care of them and we needed a person who could get them back in working order." Riou replied. "So, what kind of weapons do you use?" He asked curious.

OoC: You know what? I'm just gonna stay out of this. I already know anything I say will be shrugged off.

<color=brown>"Mmmmm? What's that noise?" Sara gets up.
<color=purple>"I'm detecting some masses incoming from that direction." Gwen pointed.

The sisters headed out of the ship to see who it was.
