Four smiled as Makoto stood up for herself. "Winter's right, you need to stay calm."
Why do I get the feeling that what she just said is going to wind up somehow biting us in the ass?

@Random: Ah, that's fine. Glad to have you back. Unless these are just obligatory 'hey, I'm not dead' posts or something. Even then, glad you aren't dead.

Makoto hugged Winter and sat back down. "I know, it's just... I've had some hard times..."

OOC: @Drak Being honest, with at least another four weeks of this damned thing to get through, and then moving into the city with some friends immediately after, I doubt I'll be on this much any more, particularly since the characters I play are always very involved in the group, I don't know if I'd do so well as a mysterious figure that just shows up every so often. For now though, I'll be around when I can.

Do tell, when thou art reduced to the circus act thou art meant to be, how long dost thou believe it will be before thou art all but forgotten?
Thou wouldst not be the first to fade from the collective memory of these people. Suposed 'beloved friends' hath come and gone before. Rarely do they stand still and remember any of them.
This feign sense of secutiry of what suposedly grants thee strength? Preposterous.

Nay, I dare say they would be happy when thou art gone. At least then they can at last stop staring at thy horrid vissage.

Out in the clearing, a portal opened in the air, exuding a chilling torrent of wind and snow, and AEanna stepped through, bundled up in her thick Archmage's robes and looking flustered.

In the communal quarters, James slowly sat up on his bunk, wincing at the stiffness in his back. He felt as though he had been asleep for a week.

Four didn't have much else to say, so she just pat Makoto on the shoulder, hoping to reassure her a bit more.

@Random: Ah well, understandable.

"I'm not desperate. I don't keep freinds around to feel important, I have them because I like to be with them. They won't just forget me or wish me away, that's not what good people do." Makoto smirked a little, regaining some confidence "And "horrid visage?" Pot and kettle much?"

Winter tilted her head. "Now why would we forget you? You're beautiful, a wonderful fighter and bubbly! Why would that happen?"

Makoto smiled at Winter. "Aww, you're making me blush."

OoC: @Berk Well, we moved and Noel got kidnapped. I don't really know anything big, I've been off for a few days.

Truly? Go on, ask them, these 'good people' how many of their fallen friends they remember then.
Chances be, they could not even tell just how many hath passed away. Deluded art thou to believe they care for thee, a mutant who spend but very little time amongst them while they hath forgotten so many others.
Do tell mutant. What dost thou believe goes through their minds when they stare at thee so? Naught but repulsion, that is what.
And what dost thou feel when they fix their piercing gaze upon thee, I wonder...

OOC: Moved again? Damn it, it always seems to happen when I have AEanna away from the group. Fuck it.

AEanna began to walk towards the ship when she became aware that something was out of place. The sun seemed brighter, as though the canopy of the rainforest had been peeled away. The wind also tugged at her robes more insistently. Glancing around, her eyes widened in surprise as she saw that the trees had been replaced by the banks of a great lake.
"What in..." Her mind reeled for a moment at the unexpected development, then she glanced at the ship.
Could it be that the amulet has somehow become attuned to the presence of some of the others? Or is it my own fate that is bound to them? With no answers to her questions, she set it to the back of her mind and began to continue to the ship.

Winter's yawns alittle. "Well I'm going to go take a nap... Hey Four, do you mind if I was to use your bed?"

Erica saw AEanna approach out of the corner of her eye. She stood up and walked away from the edge of the lake she had been sitting, towards AEanna, cheerily waving at her as she did.
"Hi, AEanna!" She callded out with a bright smile.

AEanna turned sharply on hearing her name called, then smiled and waved at Erica as she recognised her.
"Good afternoon Erica! I see we have found a pleasant change of scenery to enjoy it in." She said as she walked to meet her, her long, graceful stride carrying her down as far as the shingle strand of the bank before Erica left it.
