OOC: @Salty I just got the impulse to do this. A race against time to complete three objectives. The Tyranids will never get to earth, if every objective goes well they won't even hit the solar system, providing a number of smaller secondary objectives are done as well. Two things I wanted to achieve with this. 1. a sense of urgency for once. 2. a sense of victory. Even with the shake-up at the end anyone who participates will hopefully feel like their characters have done something.
OOC: @Wacky anyway about my friends being 'mean' clearly you havn't been to the North-east of England. "Areet shithead" followed by punch on the arm is the common greeting and everyone constantly takes digs at eachother.

Winter gets up and yawns slightly. Wiping the sleepily in her eyes, she kisses Four and hits the showers. Austin gets up as well, stretching. He looks over at Noel and smiles. Kissing her, he makes his way to the showers.

Winter really doesn't pay attention to the ghost as the three head off to the kitchen to start making french toast for everybody.

Everyone who goes will meet Eldrad, he'll be cryptic as fuck, before showing them a world the Tyranids have already consumed to give them an example, then warning that a splinter is heading for them but they can stop it, if they do as he says. First mission: Acquire gene-sample of a creature with a high connection to the Hive Mind. It boils down to the group entering a cave system and a possibility of: Massively delaying the Fleet and acquiring a large gene-sample, Disorganising the Tyranids on the planet for awhile giving the few defenders left more of a chance to wear the swarm down and acquiring a moderate gene-sample, or simply throwing the 'nids in the tunnels into brief confusion and acquiring a lesser sample.
