OOC: @Nailik. Hmmmm.... I've yet to come to that point. I'm still only on the second disk. If Square caught on to the idea of FF VII's universe in the far future with a whole solar system filled with life forms and civilizations, then that'd be one heck of a sequel.

@Slenn Well, we're still looking for life on Mars. The theory goes that we might find bacteria or something. Who's to say such lifeforms wouldn't survive on planets like Venus or even Pluto. Also, I'll be playing some FF characters later...

@Saltyk: Never said I doubted the existence of life on other planets around us. I'm only pointing out this kind of logic:
Fact: Life is necessary to keep FF VII's planets together.
Observation: Other planets observed are still intact.
Conclusion: There has to be life of some form on those planets.
In fact there's some theories that suggest that there's acidophilic (acid loving) bacteria that could exist in Venus' atmosphere.

The characters in FFVII can't travel the galaxy, but considering that Jenova is not native to the planet, and neither are the Cetra (Ancients), so I'd say that there has to be other life. In Advent Children, Sephiroth even claims that he wants to use the planet as his vessel to travel to other planets.
@Nail Like with Crisis Core? Which I think was done pretty well. There's a lot I'd like them to do. They teased another story at the end of Dirge of Cereberus, that could be interesting.

@Saltyk. The types of life and ecosystems on the planets in that universe is still up to speculation and pondering. I think that is the most probable case for that universe, where there is life everywhere in their own ecosystem. And I think from what you've said, Jenova and the Cetra are evidence of that. That's kind of enchanting to think about really.
ooc: Can we start some more Kefka defeating? Before he, I don't know, blows up China or something.
