The path lead the sisters and Reimu down some steps that made a odd squishy sound as they stopped on it, to a place where there was another fork in the road. One path lead down while the other went left.

Maris followed the sisters, examining the dagger.

"We could always smash through it." Jowy replies as he raises his right and towards the gray mass and his hand is seen to glow with a black energy.

"Or we could go down this other path and see if that has a key..." Riou says following the others.

Nothing happened when Derpy poked the mass. It felt gross though, as if she were touching brainmatter.

Maris would find that the dagger had exceptional craftsmanship. It had intricate golden decorations, yet no practicality was sacrificed.
