Plus any maze that we're bound to find inside, I'll be able to navigate it easily. EMily has also been practicing cloaking and invisibility techniques. And two of our members have cloaking devices."

"I suppose. But would those cloaking devices work there? Kefka could have a system that isn't so easy to fool. If we could scout it out, or get inside information, it would be beneficial..."

"...It's more than a little hard to stay hopeful when you've outlived most of your children. Hoping for the future is nice and all, but I just can't do it anymore. Life has beaten that out of me, I guess you could say." Four said, a hint of sadness in her voice, but she mostly spoke in a matter-of-fact fashion.

Grace sighed and stood. She walked over and hugged Four tightly. "I am sorry to hear that." she said.

<color=purple>"Perhaps, but Kefka doesn't seem like the person who could detect souls like Regulus could. There are ways to go detect cloaked units, but there are a number of ways to infiltrate. And a few of our members are actually skilled in that profession. I don't know how much inside information we'll get before we actually go in there. That's still up to speculation."

"I don't need your sympathy." Four stated to Grace. Then she hugged her back and added, "But thank you anyway."

 

[Saltyk]

"I know this. The problem is that we have so little information to go on. I've always won battles through strategy. That was always the key. But we have so little to go on. My old strategist would never condone taking such a risk by attacking an enemy that you have very little information on. But we seem to have little choice. It's far from an ideal situation, and I have no idea what would be the proper course of action..."

OoC: Gonna run to take a quick shower.
@Drak Say what? Four outlived most of her children? Isn't Conall still technically alive? And Asha... Okay, I don't even know at this point. If this was the one that was kidnapped or not.

Gwen will keep a check on the paths that are available to us with her sense of mass and gravity. And both EMily and Gwen will keep a lookout for both energy and solid based traps."

"I already said thanks. Besides, let's not get into a contest over here." Four said. She let go of Grace and stood up as she heard Winter. "It's me, Four." She said to Winter, leaning in close to her.

@Salty: Well Conall-2 is dead, Asha-1 was kidnapped and Four never saw her again, so Four assumes she's dead, and Conall-1...well, he's dead to Four, anyway.

Grace allowed Four to have her time with Winter.

"Probably about the best plan we can come up with. I still don't like it, though. Still, I suppose we have to make the most of what we have."

OoC: And I'll probably miss it, since my schedule this week is crap.
@Drak To be fair, Conall-2 is pretty much dead to me, too. Just checking that I didn't miss anything, though.

OOC: @Saltyk. I feel ya' there. I have a ton of orientation and stuff to go over from the teachers to me (as well as other TAs) that's going to be taking up most of my time. And next week will be completely bogged down in work since that's when my classes and my job starts. And I may have no choice but to miss out on it and rush my characters back to their respective universes.

"Is there anything we can do about that?" Four asked Grace. She kept looking at Winter, stroking her hair to calm both Winter and herself.

"I guess Shu rubbed off on me. His goal in every battle was to win it and effectively as possible with the fewest causalities that he could for both sides. And information was invariably his main desire. I know we can't always have the best situation, but that doesn't make it any better. Still, we have to work with what we have."
