OoC: @Slenn I don't have that problem. As long as it's not just badly done and the story is good, I'm happy. I'm more concerned about the quality of the work over things like graphics. To me, graphics are not the be all end all. They are nice. That is all.

Erica blew a sigh of relief when she notice Valentine didn't appear to be in a life-threatening situation and began dragging her back to the ship.

Amy was outside in the middle of the ships clearing looking at the stars.

Austin and Noel make it back to the Guppy as the two fall asleep.

@Nailik. It's a post apocalyptic sci fi anime movie. It has good animation, but some of the imagery was just beyond me. The whole premise is that there's this..... gah shit! I can't even try and condense it down! Yeah, the whole movie is nuts and is completely dense, and I don't think it's a classic or deep in any sense.

"Why? I mean, I understand you have to 'keep the faith', since it's pretty much your job to, but why should I bother?" Four responded to Grace.

"Do you want to die, Four? Do you want to see Gwen or Winter or Rose or Asha die?" Grace asked after a pause.

"Ah, yes, the psychotic clown... He's quite a fiend..."

OoC: @Akira A classic anime. It has all sorts of themes, and it considered one of the best anime of it's day, though has numerous problems. Still a good one, though, I probably wouldn't recommend it to someone looking to get into anime these days. More likely, I'd recommend it to someone that enjoys anime and hasn't seen it.
Full disclosure: I haven't seen it. I just know of it and haven't ever gotten around to it... I should rectify that, soon.

Four was rather taken aback by what Grace had said. She had to take a few moments before she responded. "...No. But I don't see what expecting life to be fair has anything to do with that."

Erica dragged Valentine to her room and laid her down on the bed. Now tired herself, she undressed and climbed into bed also.

OoC @Slenn: So your cringe-o-meter going haywire, was that because of some disturbing scene or just because it was shite?

<color=brown>"I'm sure we'll get him. We tried taking the top of the tower today, thinking we might take Kefka by surprise so that we can strike the statues first. But that proved more of a hassle than we thought. So we're thinking of a distraction tactic. However Reimu's the only one who's volunteered to be a distraction against Kefka. She's good at dodging for sure, but she can only do so much. There was another person who said they might be able to make surprise attacks with their ship using the new portal system Four discovered from Sir Sable."

OOC: @Nailik. The first. It's got some really weird stuff that's in it. I just refuse to watch it because the animation is so over the top and the plot thinks it's deeper than it thinks it is. I also didn't like the setting and it was just a very unsettling movie with no real focus and just a grim atmosphere. Just the simple image of a torn up school was enough to make me feel like its mood was down in the dumps. It was too grim with nothing to like about the movie. None of the characters I particularly enjoyed in any way.

Amy yawns and decides to hop back on her perch on Four's ship, star gazing again.

"I see. Kefka seems to be insane, so he probably thinks in such ways. It could be difficult to surprise or distract such a person. Do we have any information on the tower's design or anything?" Riou responds, after a moment.

 

[Slenn]

<color=brown>"From what we've seen it's just a hunk of mass that juts out of the ground. There's no discernible architecture to the tower. It looked like a hodge podge of mashed up junk piled on top of each other."

"So, is it just a solid object, or could one travel up this 'tower'? I'm wondering if that wouldn't be a wise tactic. At the very least, it would potentially hide an approach assuming he doesn't have some way to detect intruders."

"You might not expect life to be fair, but you can at least hope for it. You may be disappointed, but that is a part of life. You want to be with the ones you love, you must maintain faith." Grace said.

<color=purple>"I think he does have a way. He was able to sense our presence when we got to the tower's roof, and then subsequently taunt us."

<color=brown>"I'm assuming you could. But the other assumption is that Kefka is at the top of the tower. Meaning there must be doors, rooms, and staircases inside."

Winter's eyes flicker again perhaps in agreement... Or just pure coincidence. Either way, Winter rolls slightly to her side, groaning with barely minimal noise.

 

[Saltyk]

"We have very little to go on. If he can detect us inside the tower, that route could be dangerous, even suicidal. In that event, a distraction could be for the best. But it could also make him aware of the others presence, if he can't detect it, or at least wary of it." Riou thinks for a minute, then kicks the dirt. "Damn. I wish Shu were here. He'd get us in and out with no problem."
