Riou let Rose down. He looked around the hallway. It was nicely decorated, but he had seen plenty of tyrant's estates with similar styles. It didn't impress him. Only made him wonder what Pie Lord's people endured, while he lived like this. He looked at Bob. "Well, we should probably get moving and find out the answers ourselves, don't you agree?"
"We actually know every little about her, but the Pie Lord seems to keep her with him at almost all times. Some think she is part of the reason for the Pie Lord's influence, but she is constantly drugged with Hypno-pie. I myself have only heard her speak by herself once, she doesn't want to help him." Bob addressed Erica.

OoC: Kinda reminds me of the Emperor of the Scarlet Moon Empire in Suikoden. The Witch Windy, bearer of a half of the Gate Rune, was using cursed Black Runes to control various members of his army (including a few that you recruit). You learn that he supposedly had one as well.
Except that his sword had the Sovereign Rune in it's hilt. Another True Rune. As a result, he was immune to magic. He followed Windy because he loved her. Not just because she reminded him of his dead wife, but also because he wanted to make her happy and to see her smile. He truly loved her, and that love blinded him to her evil deeds and he went through with them willingly. As he said, "This was my only sin. But it is a grave one, for which we must both be punished." With that he grabbed her, and jumped off the ledge of the balcony with her, to their deaths.

Makoto looked in the doorway, checking for anyone or anything. Once she was sure it was clear, she stepped inside. "Hello? Anyone hear me?" She picked up one of the plates, examining it.

The rest of the group walk through the big doors. The throne room was well furnished on the sides like the hall, two columns of large stone pillars divided the furnishings with a tile pattern that lead up a flight of stairs to the throne. A extremely large bulky man was sitting in the throne in what looked like a navy blue house coat with scandals on. His balding head had a monstrous grin from ear to ear. "Well I was expecting you about an hour from now, if you don't mind waiting my servants can have a wonderful treat prepared for you."
Makoto didn't hear anything respond, as she searched through the room all she found was mountains upon mountains of pie plate. She eventually found a conyeror belt with a chair, but no one in it. There was another door on the far side of the room.
