OOC: I was avoiding posting because I thought we might just retcon all this...but I'm just gonna keep going now.

Rose lifted her face up out of her hands and looked up at Erica, her irises no longer the only part of her eyes that were red. She sniffled a few times, then buried her face back in her hands and started bawling again.

 

[Chungus]

Seeing Rose cry the way she did, Erica began placing two and two together. After letting it sink in for a moment, Erica's knees started to tremble and her eyes tearing up. Eventually, she fell to her knees and burst out in tears also. After all the trouble, Joe was still forever lost. Erica weakly hugged Rose and burried her face in her shoulder.

OOC: ...Fine, I'll just go with it...

At first Grace was not certain what had happened. Then things started to sink in. She did not know how it happened or why, but she knew what she caused.

@Outis: I want the bad ending now, I legit want Grace to burn for this. I set up several points where Joe would just flat out not exist and this is one. Another was if whoever got the tattoo punch card took too much damage for example. No retconning I say.

Rose turned and hugged Erica back, desperate for a shoulder to cry on as well. She was far too torn up to do anything but cry and try to let out all the pain.

OOC: Man...I can't even...jeez...

Grace brake down in much the same way as everyone else. Gerry and Makoto tried to comfort her, but they were effected as well.

Erica hugged Rose a bit tighter as she cried. Although she had not know Joe all that long, she saw a lot of her reflected in him.

Rose looked up from Erica's shoulder and saw Grace. She glared at Grace with unmatched hatred in her bloodshot eyes. She inadvertently squeezed on Erica as tightly as she could, which was quite a lot despite her small size. After a few moments, she buried her face in Erica's shoulder again and released most of the pressure.

Grace did not notice the look Rose gave her because she was too busy crying herself, Makoto hugging her tightly. Gerry also cried next to them both.

ooC: Might as well just say I'm not going to add anything... since I really can't, but not sure what else you can do here, for right now.

Erica shrieked and backed away from Rose when she squeezed down on her shoulder, as it hurt quite alot. Though her shriek was masked by the fact that she was already crying out loud. Erica clenched the shoulder that Rose squeezed and briefly looked at her before curling up into a fetal position, burrying her face in her legs and continued to cry.

Rose felt even worse when she realized that she had inadvertently hurt Erica. She gave Erica a sorry look, then sulked back into the Tanner, which had a few more bits on it that looked like they had been repaired recently. She gently placed her new guitar and dress aside, then got undressed and slunk into her bed. She cried into her pillow for a while before eventually exhausting herself and falling asleep.

OOC: Yeah, I can't see anything else to do now, so I'm going to bed. Night everyone.

Grace and co did much the same thing as Rose.

Erica remained outside alone until she had calmed down sufficiently, wich took quite a while. Her crying reduced to soft sobs, Erica stood up and walked over to AEanna Valentine to check up on them. Seeing that they weren't wounded, Erica first picked Valentine up and began dragging her back into the ship, not noticing the patchwork it had become. Once Erica dragged Valentine to her room, she laid her down on the the bed. Walking back outside, Erica began to drag AEanna to her room, with great difficulty considdering AEanna was practically a giantess compared to Erica. Eventually, Erica managed to drag AEanna to her room and sat her down in a chair. Once done, Erica undressed and tossed her clothes aside, then climbed into bed, falling asleep a while later.

OoC: And with that, I'm off.

OOC: Morning campers, I really enjoyed the ending to @Zephs plot, mainly due to @Outis reaction. RPing at its finest when something just goes wrong or you genuinely misunderstood something in character. I would have blown a fuse if you had retconned it. It was sheer creative genius and I wish I could achieve a similar impact with what I write; the understanding that sometimes things don't go your way or how brutal the unexpected can be. We need more plots like that, where characters can never be fully sure of their actions, where decisions have consequences and weight, where you have to think about what your character will do or it will kill or destroy something. This is just the thing we need to remove the viel of invincibility on the heroes.

OOC: Huh? What the... yep. I fell asleep mid fight. And looking back, I see I missed something good. Damn @Zeph, you really weren't pulling any punches last night, were you?

AEanna stirred in her sleep, her eyes opening lazily, then she bolted upright on remembering what had happened and glanced wildly around. She saw that she was in her room, surrounded by her tomes and alchemical ingredients. She got to her feet but gasped and raised a hand to her temple as she was almost overcome by a wave of dizziness. Obviously she had exhausted her magicka reserves in battle again. Bracing herself against the doorframe until it passed, she began searching for some herbs with magical properties to use while making breakfast.
