As Jowy struck at Riou the attack simply hit the tonfa again. He suddenly drops to his knees.
"Dammit. I just can't hold out any longer. I tried doing things right this time. But every time I fought against the Rune, it took more and more of my life force. It killed me to fight alongside you all. Though, I felt it was the right thing to do. I had hoped that Riou was right and that we could prevent this outcome."
Riou drops down beside Jowy. "We still can. There must be a way."
"There isn't. You know that. Give me your right hand."

OoC: @Drak Okay, I didn't think so, but I wanted to be sure.

After a long while and seemingly more pages than could actually fit in the sketchbook, Mark put down the book on his lap and looked at William and Jerome. "So... now you know the other side of the story, and quite a deal more."

Winter sighs, knowing what would happen. She slowly walks back to the ship entering the main door. She takes another look at the two and enters. She makes her way to Four's bedroom, and starts undressing to get into her night gown.

"...Amazing...Simply amazing." Will said. Tanner nodded in agreement.

As Jowy and Riou placed theirs hand to each other Each hand glowed brightly. Rious glowed with a green energy and Jowy's with a black energy. Over each of them appeared their respective Runes. After a moment, the Two dissappeared at the black energy faded from Jowy's hand and Riou's seemed to glow with a white energy. He raised his hand and above him shown a new symbol. The symbol of the Rune of Beginning.

With that Jowy collapsed to the ground. And Riou feel to a knee.
"Finally... It is done."

OOC: Dumb question: Who is William? I know this is heaven where the Creator's soul is, but I feel like I'm missing a piece of the puzzle here.

Rose looked up to see Jowy on the ground and Riou kneeling. Part of her was happy that Riou survived, so she smiled. Then her smile faded as another part of her felt her feelings were shameful and contemptible, considering she was joyous about another person's death. She stood back up and walked over to a few feet from Riou, not saying a word.

Four was still sleeping in her bed, the lazy cat that she is.

@demon: We've just about wrapped up the last thing we had to do.

OOC: @Saltyk. I don't know. It's just the beginning of school and while I'm able to look at this thread now, I'm unsure about the possibilities of the future. And this thread, no offense to it, taxes (and taxed) a lot of time. And to be quite frank its luster has grown very stale for me thanks to its unexpected longevity. The reason why I was able to keep up with it in school early in the year was because I had little to no classes and no job.

@Slenn: William was a Badass normal from WAOA1, he was introduced after the original plot ark of Rugal When we started into Joel/Preginald's Ark. Although he had an incredible lack of powers and influence for most things he was a role model for Joe, and by extension Omega Joe since Omega Joe often talked with him. William was saved at one point when he was bleeding out from a wound and Joe using his green laser sword to seal the wound. William returned the favour by saving Joe from being potentially blown to oblivion from a nuke. William eventually died in one of the best death sequences in all three threads. William made a lasting impact on Joe and he never forgot what he'd learned from him.

"Jowy..." Tears streamed down Riou's eyes. This was the worst outcome he could imagine.
"It's okay, Riou. You did what you could. There is no shame in that. It was fun. Going on adventures with you and Nanami. I think that's what I'll miss the most."

OoC: FYI: Before anyone asks, they couldn't just seal the Runes away. They had lived far too long with them. Doing that would kill them within a short time. People who live too long with True Runes become sort of dependent on them to live. Probably happens once they extend their lives beyond their nature limits.

OOC: @Outis. I have no idea. But the most likely thing is that I'll pop in and see how you guys are doing. Maybe chat or something.
I would love to have the sisters come back into the thread after their Una fusion. But I'd rather save that for when I actually do write about them.
I just don't feel like playing anymore, I'd rather spectate. When you play checkers, chess, poker, Metroid Prime, Red Dead Redeption for several hours and nothing else, you'll want to play some other game.

OOC: The other thing is that unlike some of the people here, I don't like escapism. Reality is just as important as our fantasies. Our left brain is just as important as our right; logic and creativity, two key things if we are to understand our world to its fullest. For me, reality doesn't suck, in fact it's just as fantastic as fantasies are.

"Makes me wish I hadn't died, just so I could have been around him a bit more." Will said, actually starting to tear up slightly.

@Slenn: Completely agree, hence why I'm most likely going to take a nice long break from the thread and go do whatevers. I'll probably come back at some point when I have some time to kill but I'll still keep in touch.
