'Mistake you...made...' the brain thought. "Who do you work for!" The brain shouted, audible to the two, before the unholy blight hit.

Joe had a hard time standing as the unholy blight ate away at him. He couldn't see anything through the dark magic. He was going to try to blast his way out when the sword plunged into him. He collapsed, still in the unholy blight which ate away at the blood that came from the wound.

In Joe's head, his brain was in a panicked state. "No this can't be happening!!" the brain shouted as it tried to divert power to get Joe out of the blight. But then a series of explosions ripped through its rooms as well, leaving the control room in darkness.

As the Shani's did their congratz, a red glow started flowing from Joe, which was mostly covered by the blight still.

 

[Outisakanobody]

"......Just a moment......" Grace said to Four. She was losing her resolve. She had to do this now. Now or never. She bent down over Erica and kissed her softly on the lips. "Know that I wish this did not have to happen...[sub]know that...I'm sorry...[/sub]" she whispered before driving her knife directly into Erica's heart. She waited for Erica's soul to be absorbed completely, then went over and unlocked the door. She staggered backward and fell to her knees.

 

[Chungus]

Erica screamed as she was stabbed. Before her soul had been absorbed completely, she smiled one last time.
After eons of suffering, it finally all faded. She would have peace.
Feeling her life energy being drained away, Erica closed her eyes and let go.

"Hmm? Something wrong?" Four asked. She entered the room and saw Erica with a massive wound in her chest on the bed. "Oh God! What happened? Why aren't you helping her?" She shouted in confusion.

Shani licked some of Joe's blood off of her sword as she pulled it out and stepped away. She cackled maniacally as she started to walk away.

Grace was unable to answer Four as she had her head buried in her hands and was sobbing heavily. Gerry immidiatly kneeled next to her and hugged her, not sure of what else to do.

With the Devil dying off Jio prepared his O-Part once again. His Spirit channeled into it and he threw Zero Type R at one of the remaining Devils.

Jin got up and readied his blade. "I'll not go down so easily." He walked towards the group.

OoC: @Nail & @Outis I'd say that was unexpected, but Nail is involved in this plot. A sad ending was inevitable. Still... Holy crap I really didn't see that coming. T.T

Kalin gets hit by the devil and tries to heal the wounds Acelina deals a barrage of strikes to the devil Alric throws the cat and goes over to punch the nearest one Tristan hides in the Shadows

Gordon got up from being unconscious.
"Ew!" He spat out some of the blood that got in his mouth. "Crap, tastes like... old smelly socks in lemon juice... or something."
Gordon quickly looked around for something to skewer the last devil with. He found an old pipe in the same rubble bin as before. She shot it out at the devil attacking Kalin.

Gwen stood by to recuperate.

Four started to piece things together. She grabbed Grace by the collar (or closest approximation) and held her up to her face. "You did this, didn't you! Why?! Why'd you do it?!" She shouted in Grace's face.

The combination of Jio's O-Part, Acelina's strikes and Gordon's pipe projectile put the last Bearded Devil down. It fell over on Kalin and burst into flames.
All the Bearded Devils are now 'dead'.

OoC: So I'm guessing we're okay to post non-fight things...

Jio catches Zero Type R and places it on his wrists. "Well, now that that's taken care of, what happened to Joe?" He sees Jin walking towards the group. "You okay?"
"A little sore and beaten up, but nothing that a night's rest in the Big Orphan won't heal."

"Ahgh get off me it's fire"Kalin pushes the devil off"Your okay Kalin that's great for a moment there I thought you were dead"Alric's spell wears off and grabs Mr.Tweedums and puts him in his bag Tristan comes over to the group

Grace tried to pull herself together. "I...had to. She was broken......It was the only way I could help her...end her suffering...I told her to stop me...but...she didn't..." She sagged in Four's arms, not being able to support herself. Gerry backed away a bit when Four grabbed Grace and looked on with concern.

 

[Drakmorg]

"What? She was broken? What gives you the right to decide that?! Who the fuh...who do you think you are, killing someone just because they can't stop you?! I should...Gah!" Four shouted as she threw Grace up against the wall. She clenched her fist in anger as she glared at Grace.

 

[Outisakanobody]

Grace fell to her knees again. "I tried......I went into her mind...looked for something, anything...there was nothing but pain and anguish...I couldn't...I didn't want to......I just had too...[sub]it's what she wanted...[/sub]" she said miserably.

Gerry didn't fully understand what was going on, but he still decided to stand between Four and Grace.

As Shani walked away, she felt the air turn much colder, she felt itchy and there seemed to be a mysterious red hue in the air. As she turned Joe had managed to stand himself up, red flames flowing from him as he stood expressionless, on his face only his goggles could be seen. The large gaping hole that had impacted his head was very slowly filling itself back in.

And just as Shani saw Joe he seemed to blink to her, grabbing her by the neck, searing her skin like acid.
