As Shani tried to stab Joe the dagger and hand simply went straight through making no contact. And like the arm before this one too was slammed into the wall in a similar fashion. His face hadn't changed the entire event, blankly staring at nothing. The energy flames continued to burn at Shani, and even the building was starting to show significant wear from being eaten away, parts had already collapsed into the floor below.
Finally the flames became more dense, as the process began to accelerate.

I am not going to enjoy bringing up the fact that we have to bury Tanner too to everyone.

Shani couldn't speak anymore as Joe had eroded her vocal cords. All she could really do was gasp at him ineffectually until eventually she went limp, her body lifeless. She burst into flames like the Bearded Devils as black blood began to pour from her body as parts were corroded away
And it cannot possibly smell good in my ship now. I just hope it'll come out. I'd hate to not be able to stand going in there ever again.

Once Shani was stopped struggling Joe turned looking to the remaining rooftop. The flames expanded to devour 3 flours of the building before they collapsed in on themselves and dissipated. In the wake, Joe's body lay on the rubble, the large impact to his head was completely gone. Nothing was left of the battle that had taken place, other than the gaping hole in the skyrise.

Four wound up wandering around the Big Orphan for a while. Her rambling thoughts and the fact that she was still filled with anger kept her from going to bed. She eventually just collapsed on the floor of the hallway, passed out from being so dead tired.
