...It's a Rube Goldberg mech...a machine designed to do a simple job (killing and destroying is rather simple when you get right down to it) and it does this job in the most complex and ridiculous way possible.

In a world where things need to be done to the point of overkill... Yeah, it is needed.

Original the Alteisen was supposed to be the Gespent Mark III. Seeing that NOBODY could handle its acceleration and strange weapons, it was about to be scrapped, until a certain Kyosuke Nanbu can around. His piloting style fit the Alteisen, so then the scientists were just "Meh, why the hell not?"

Don't get me started on Alteisen Riese, as it needs a Tesla Drive (The thing to make mechs inseries fly.) just to stand up right.

Inseries or just because? In series, it holds the double image systems package needed for the mech, as well as the Tesla Drive.

The attacks hit Ikaros, but his body heals rather quickly with what looks like worms and maggots. "I'm waiting for a response to my offer... or shall I hasten the process?" Ikaros raises his hand to Gerry and the Devil's Pain program begins channeling into his body even faster causing him great pain.

"Gwen? Sara?"

OoC: Not a fight yet... We have to get Gerry back.

OOC: @Saltyk. I know this sounds weird but, can I change my response to not attacking and just preparing? Because I thought that's what I did originally. I thought it was to attack him before getting Gerry free. Because now it just sounds out of character for them.

@Rosh and yet you dislike 40k tech for not making sense, interesting. OO while I remember, discovered something else perhaps rage-worthy. In the book I read, Path of the Warrior, Karandras; the Shadow Hunter, Phoenix Lord of the Striking Scorpions, arrives on the craftword and rainbows dance across the blades of his chainsword as it is so sharp it cuts the light.

A statue moves and knocks Rachel back. all of the statues begin to move and surround the group.

It makes sense in context with the rest of the series and their machines. I can replace most words for technology in that series (WarHammer 40k) with the word "magic" and it would make more sense to me
