Bryce continues to look into Erica's eyes, his eyes shinning ever more so. A smile was still across his face. "I have done enough killing for three lifetimes, and I had seen friends, allies and comrades die because of my incompetence, leading them into places I should have known well ahead of time, where the enemy was, what they brought... I had to exterminate an entire city because I was too late, and their faces still come back and haunt me. All I know is war, and the pains that it brings. But that is why I fight; for a future. A future that I may have no place in, but a future that is selfless and kind; one where we can understand our pasts, live the present, and believe in the future. Until then, I'm here to help those lost in their path. I can show people the door, but its always up to them to walk through it."

Erica calmed down somewhat, more because she no longer had the energy to cry then anything else.
"Then tell me, what posibilities are there for me?
When my friends tried to help me, they suffer because of it, and I don't have the strentgh to help others.
I can't help them fight, nor do I have the wisdom to talk them out of a depression..."

"To be honest, I don't know. We never do know until we grasp it. People have to find it themselves. As for helping others, let one of them train you. I'm quite sure that they wouldn't mind. Hell, I would if you asked. Even if its one of the most minimal of things, they will appreciate it, no matter what. Why? Because they care about." lightly chuckled Bryce.

"Those tears don't belong a face like yours though." Bryce smiled.

Nicole got up, stretching for a second before exiting the Big Orphan to look around. Still in the plane of magic. I'm sooooo damned bored...

Erica let out a small sigh and looked at the ground.
"They might appreciate it, but that's about it. Whatever I'd say, they'd still be sad afterwards... Simply being there isn't enough." She looked up to Bryce again and looked at his glowing eyes, giving a small smile as she did. The calm glow along with his smile had something comforting about it.
Technicly, this face isn't mine. Those were the words sitting on the tip of Erica's tongue. She thought about saying it, but figured it wasn't worth it.

Bryce embraced Erica, as his own conscience tugged at her, revealing a vision of her.
Just let go for a second....

The vision shows a burning city in the background as a man in powered armor stands in the middle of several burnt out buildings, swords out. He is looking at the skies above, as they begin pouring rain. He removes his helmet, revealing that it is Bryce Ambrose, just a year ago, in the burnt out city of New Matrid.

This is where I was, a year ago. My home-city. After everything. I didn't know what to do from there until I looked into the skies. Either it was a shock or something else, I will never know, but what I saw was a shinning light, some thing that I had never since during my entire stay there. From that moment on, I remembered my dead parents, my sister, and all of the loved ones back in the Wardens. They will need someone brought from the depths of hell to teach them never to fall, never to be consumed by the past. This is my future... I can't wait to see what yours will be Erica...

The vision ends as Bryce continues to hold Erica close.

Gwen woke up and went into the ethereal plane to get ready for the day.

Erica stood there, dumbfounded. Honestly, she didn't know what to make of the vision. ...And yet, it made perfect sense.
After the vision ended, Erica noded and returned Bryce's embrace.

Although Erica still did not understand the vision shown to her, something dawned on her. It was remarkebly similar to Laguna's final words.
If both he and Bryce had faith in her, perhaps it was time she put a little faith in herself.

@Nail: Hmmm, I think @Ven: went off.... because of the mushy stuff i put in. And to be honest, I did want Bryce to be very similar to @Gear:'s Laguna.

"You're welcome." whispered Bryce into Erica's ear. He kissed her forehead again and held her close, but watched for any dangers that might come in this warped plane of magic.

Always the soldier first, eh bro? Yeah, yeah shut it sis.

Varger looked at his hand. It moulded into a viscious claw, the Faelon rearanging beneath his skin then breaking the surface, extending his fingers and ending them with sharp talons. He then dismissed it, the Faelon retracting beneath the skin and the nano-paste was secreted to repair the cosmetic damage to his skin.

"Where do I go from here?" Erica asked Bryce as she wiped what tears remained on her face.

Gilgamesh had been watching Varger from a distance, when he saw claws errupting from his hand, he decided it was time to investigate. Someone who is capable of such a feat must possess some fine weapons.
"You there... how did you do that?"

Varger looked up. "Weapons systems." He said at the large figure. "Why'd you wanna know?"

"We shall see Erica. We shall see. But now..." Bryce gets himself up, extending hand to Erica. "I think everybody is starting to wake up, so let's go greet them."

Hey sis, do you still have the light armor with you? Yeah, what of... Oh I see! Alrightly then, I need to fix around it though.

"I am someone with an interest in weapons. That's why." Gilgamesh replied while giving Varger a good eyeballing.

Erica took Bryce's hand and gave him a warm smile. "Yes. Let's."

Bryce returned Erica's smile, lifting her up.

Nicole walked into the Big Orphan. "HEY! IS ANYBODY AWAKE?!" she yelled, as her voice echoed in the ship.

Bryce sighed, palmfacing. "Well... That's one way to get somebody's attention."

Varger's own eyes switched to become slitted vertically as he stood up. "I'm essentially a weapon. Organic parts are for show mainly."
