"I don't want help because me getting helped taken up more then enough time of the rest already.
Pretty much from the moment I joined these people it's been nothing but me requiring help with some petty problem or another. I've been nothing but dead weight, holding the others back and never being able to do something in return.
Well no more. I'm gonna take care of my own problems from now on." Erica said to both Makoto and James.

Makoto thought for a moment. "Look, that's admirable and all, but it's not the best solution. I've been through some tough stuff myself, and I thought I could handle it on my own, but it just hurt me and anyone that tried to help. When I let people help... ok, it was slow, but it was so much better than before. You have to let people help you, otherwise you won't be happy."

James was incredulous at hearing Erica's explanation.
"So it really is just pride? Hell, that's no grounds to turn down medical help. If you've had problems in the past then you should learn to compensate for that, sure, but when you take a beating during the process there's no shame in getting someone to patch it up, especially when they can do it as quickly and easily as Grace can. Do you know how many times I've had to be stitched back together after I did something stupid and reckless? A lot of times, at least before I developed the ability to just self heal everything on the spot. But regardless of that, I always got the job done, and when I screwed up, I learned to do better the next time, even if it cost me a few more cuts and scrapes in the process. Train in combat or whatever it is you need to do, but don't be ashamed to deal with a medic every now and then. Trust me, its for the best." He smiled to reinforce his assurances.

Upon hearing James' words, Erica sighed. "I'm sorry. Didn't mean to be so rude." she said to him with a apologetic tone.
"That's just it. There isn't anything bothering me.
It's, as I said, just a minor inconvenience. Really nothing worth talking about." She said as she turned to Makoto.
"Look, it's not like I don't appreciate your concern for me or something, it's just that that concern is best spend elsewhere.
Because really, compared to the rest, I shouldn't complain about anything." Erica said, adressing everyone at once.

"Eh, don't worry about it. Well, I'll leave you to it. You need me, I'll be hanging around." With that, James went and sat cross legged on the grass, where he laid out his bergen so that the back faced upward, and began dismantling his P90 on top of it.

When Makoto touched Erica's back during their hug, Erica whimpered as the contact hurt. Still, she tried not to show it.
