Grace had been wandering around since the incident with Erica and found Four. "Hello. How are you feeling?" she asked.

"[sub][sub][sub]...Hmm? Sorry about what?[/sub][/sub][/sub]" Tanner asked Four.

James laughed with Erica.
"Yeah, that could be a possibility. Hey, out of curiosity, what do you do when a fight starts? I've already seen this bunch fight one enemy, with a wide variety of weapons and... well, not much in the way of tactics, frankly, but I get the impression that you guys have seen a fair bit of combat. But I haven't seen you carry any weapons."

Maka yawned as Soul put the book down by her side.

"Well..." Erica began, speaking with a voice thick with shame. "Whenever a fight starts, I ran away and hide like a coward." She replied while kicking the dirt.

"Hmm? Oh, hi Grace. I'm fine, I guess." Four said to Grace as she stopped wandering for the moment.
I'm just worked up over this whole thing with Winter, forgot about my promise for a moment.


@Gear: Not bad. Mooching wi-fi from a friend for the time being, so I'm back for a couple hours at the most.

"Good...I...I wanted to talk to you about...that day you and I...talked..." Grace said to Four.

"Huh. Well, uh..." James recognised the shame in Erica's voice and felt awkward. He hadn't intended to imply that she couldn't fight, especially given the insecurity that she had already revealed.
"Well, you just need to know how to handle yourself in a fight." He finally said, before drawing one of his pistols. "Sometimes, I think I'm packing more heat than I know what to do with. If you'd like, I can teach you to use this. It won't help much against hard targets like Lord Larry or whatever his name was, but if we have any trouble with bog-standard assholes, that could give you a chance."

My promise to stop being so vulgar with my language. You don't remember making me promise that?
"Alright. What about that day?" Four said to Grace.

Asha wandered outside. "What the...When did we get in a forest? How long have I been asleep?" She asked aloud to no one in particular. Then she shrugged and wandered over to a tree to sharpen her claws.

Erica looked up and smiled again. "Might aswell. Though I doubt I'll be much good with it, I'll at least feel less exposed." She said as she took the pistol and inspected it.
"So, how do these things work, exactly? Ive seen some of the others use weapons like this, but I never held one before myself."

"Well...did anything happen between you and I...before I woke up?" Grace asked.

Gerry got up and walked over to Asha. "[sub]I cannot believe how long you and your sister can sleep...don't you get hungry or thirsty?[/sub]" he asked.

"Right, here we have the safety catch." James said, pointing at the switch on the right of the barrel. "That's to be put on whenever the gun isn't being fired. Its on now, so switch it off. This button here ejects the mag. You need to do that to put in a new one when you run out of bullets. When you put a new mag in, you pull back the slide to chamber the first round, like so" -he drew his other pistol and demonstrated- "and after the first round in a mag, it'll do that automatically. When the safety is off and a round is chambered, you pull the trigger, right here, to fire it. With me so far?"

"Do I need to do these steps every time I wanna use this thing? That seems rather unhandy."

"...I didn't do anything to you in your sleep if that's what you're asking." Four said, trying to avoid seeming offended by what she thought Grace was implying.

"Oh man! I got so preoccupied with where I was that I forgot about that! I could really go for a bite." Asha said to Gerry. She spotted a bird nearby and hunched down to stalk it.
