Erica drank what was left of the wine in her glass and put it in the sink.
Not wanting to interupt the conversation between Four and Grace, Erica silently left the kitchen.
She entered her room, undressed and climbed into bed.

"Hmm...it might be nice to talk to someone about it." Four said to Grace. She leaned against a wall, not wanting to take up a chair for the other people who were eating. "Was there anything in particular you wanted to know? Anything to start off on?" She noticed Erica leave the kitchen and waved to her, "G'night Erica!"

"You do?! I mean...you do too, huh?" Asha said, sounding a little too enthusiastic to begin with, then toning her mood down to what she though was appropriate.

<color=darkgreen>"That's the spirit! And if you can't finish it, make sure to save in this big white box here called a refrigerator and wrap the sandwich in this stuff here." She shows him a box of ceram wrap. <color=darkgreen>"I'm about to go off to bed. Enjoy your meal." She says happily and walks back to the bridge where her sisters were.

<color=brown>"I'm sure that there's at least people who do understand. Who would understand. Who can understand. We understand you."

<color=blue>"Ready to go to bed, Winona?"

<color=darkgreen>"Yep." She yawned.

She tucks herself into bed. "Good night girls. See you all in the morning."

Winter falls into a deep slumber.

"Goodnight Erica." Grace also said. "I think this person's name would be a good place to start." she then said to Four.

Gerry nodded, but didn't go into detail since, a)he was not really comfortable with the subject, and b)he felt like this should be about Asha and not himself. "[sub]I...understand why my parents felt that way, but why do you think your parents did not want you to go to school? Did you ever ask?[/sub]" Gerry asked instead.

All the girls get ready for bed and fall asleep in their sleeping bags.

"Right. His name was Lenard Jerome Tanner, but I always just called him Tanner. He didn't like being called Lenard." Four said, a small smile forming on her face.

"Well...it was really just Four that said I couldn't. Mia was always sleeping so much that is was like she was never really around." Asha said, her ears starting to droop some more. She shook her head a bit as she realized she was getting off topic. "But Four always said she didn't want me going to school because she didn't think I'd be safe if I did."

"[sub]...That is exactly what my parents said about school...[/sub]" Gerry could not help but say.

Grace quietly listened, giving a small smile of her own.

"Really? Weird coincidence....Anyway, Four always said it wasn't safe for me to go to school because I'm not human, and if anyone found that out, it might mean trouble. Whenever we'd go out, I'd always have to wear a hat to hide my ears, and keep my tail curled up or hidden some other way so no one could see it." Asha continued. "But I think she might have had some other reason." She couldn't help but add.

"Yeah, I met him a while ago. Back on the world I was...well, back where I came from. He used to be a Corporal of something, I think. I can't remember what army he said he was from...but it didn't matter, since he wasn't really much of a part of it anymore." Four continued.

"A soldier? Interesting...was he a deserter, or simply retired?" Grace asked.

Gerry nodded again as he looked at Asha.

"I guess you could say he was a deserter. He showed up after some kind of accident I think, but he certainly didn't seem in much of a hurry to get back to where he came from. I don't think he even wanted to go back at all." Four answered.

"I don't know what that other reason would be though. I just kinda have a feeling that there's something she isn't telling me." Asha continued.

Mithas wraps up the sandwich and puts it in the fridge.Than he goes over to the bedroom"I think life will be generally nice from now.Or we could always go with the theroy that when ever life is nice.A whole shit of horrible stuff gets shoved onto you.Hmm why do I have a felling that the second one will happen"

"I see. What was he like?" Grace asked.

Gerry moved a little closer to Asha and put his arm around her.

Four's smile got a little bigger. "He was great. He was brave and helpful, almost to a fault really. He always put helping others above himself, even when it would've been life threatening. I used to joke about how he seemed to have a death-wish sometimes." Four said with a wistful sigh.

"You know...you're the first real friend I've ever had, now that I think about it." Asha said as she cuddled up close to Gerry.

"[sub]...Same with me...my [sub]mother[/sub] hardly ever let me out of the house...she was always so protective of me...just like Four it seems...[/sub]" Gerry said as he hugged Asha.

"He sounds like a wonderful man." Grace said.

@All: Hey! Just got back from a rather large party! I'm tired... but I had a good time! That and I don't think I've ever biked that far in quite a long time.

"Things aren't that much better now though for me. I still can't leave the house...though it's more my own fault now than anything else. At least now you can go out and see the world though." Asha said to Gerry as she hugged him back.

Four caressed the memory shard around her neck and sighed again. "He was. He really was. Not a day goes by that I don't wish to have him back."
