Originally they were big bulky power-armored super humans, and were less or more invincible unless you had Anti Personal rounds, which was highly unlikely. Either way, the Vanguards or Wardens had energy shields of their own and virtually any attack was blocked. So they went back to the old days, with swords and spears to compensate. But then they realized that the only people that were effective at using them were other Vanguards or Wardens. It became a war of deterrence from there." Winter paused for a moment.
"But that's too much of a history lesson."

A Remington shotgun
And 2 40 caliber glocks (one was found in the car)
And he was covered in ballistic gear, and used some sort of incendiary devices (I'm thinking smoke bombs) and had a gas mask.
No idea how many shots he fired, but he hit 69 people. 12 died (10 at the scene, 2 at hospitals) and 57 were wounded. One person was hit when a bullet went through the wall and hit them in the next theater. No idea if anyone else died, since last I heard, but I heard there were people in critical condition.
After all that, they found him at his car and he just gave up.
Oh, and his house was bobby-trapped.

OOC: @Saltyk Yeah, thats been all over the news over here as well. They said he waited for a battle scene in the movie too, so that at first the people in the theatre couldn't distinguish his fire from the gunfire in the movie.
