Daniel feared every action would provoke a response. His loud breathing, the steady rise and fall of his tail, the occasional twitch of his wings. He bowed his large skull in acknowledgement of what was being said.
"I've been hiding it because I made a promise not to tell. And I aimto keep any promise I make." Erica asnwered Riou, crossing her arms as she did, hoping such a pose would help calm her nerves.
"And Daniel kept it hidden because he feared he would be killed on sight like this. He was quite right to think so, I might add."

"I see." AEanna said. Suddenly Daniel's behaviour made so much sense. She was astounded that she had not recognised it herself. Her fear gone, she approached Daniel.
"You need not have been so secretive." She said softly. "Had we known that you were no dumb, savage beast, we would have accepted you for what you were. At the least, those of us who did would support you against the ones who did not. It has been done here before."

Makoto opened her eyse to stop herself from falling asleep. She sat up, and noticed that a fw spots were starting to burn. The heat was starting to get to her, she needed to cool off. She took of her socks and shoes, then ran to the lake edge. "Cannonball!" She jumped in.
