@Rosh: Hope you don't mind if I God-mod some mooks here...

Some more mechs came flying over near where Kayle and Gabranth were, seeming to be chasing someone.
Stupid flying things!

 

[Chungus]

"Good evening to you too. Who is William?" Gabranth asked, then looked at the mech that flew by. "Wonderful.. More of them."

@Drak: Go right ahead. The mooks are kill anything on site practically.

"Yeah... Ok. I will. For you, thank you." She turned to Four and kissed.

"William is some man with a large ego that believes that he is the world's reckoning. He declared war and has slaughtered this city already and others like it. From what I..." Kayle hears the mechs chasing another person.

"Looks like we have company..." she takes out her sword and sets it aflame.

 

[Chungus]

Without saying a word, Gabranth walked back to the Atomos. Partially t retrieve his weapons, mainly because he didn't care about who or what the mechs were chasing.
After a short while, Gabranth came back out - holding two swords, one larger then the other - at his side.

Four smiled and kissed Winter back.

The mech landed and prepared to fire at the person being chased.
Finally!
The person quickly spun around to face the mech. They held out their arms with the backs of their hands pressed against each other. The person started moving their hands apart, as if trying to tear something invisible right in front of them apart. As they did this, a seam appeared on the mech as its body started to tear apart. With one quick, final motion, the person swept their hands behind their back, and the mech was torn in half by some invisible force, both halves flying off in opposite directions.
"Woo! And that is how it's done!"

Winter wrapped her arms around Four. "Good night dearest." she said, kissing her one last time before falling asleep.
[hr]
Huh. Interesting. Kayle thought. "Either way, its time for me to retire. Farewell Gabranth." she said walking towards her resting spot.

Gabranth cast a curious glance at the person who was being chased when the mech was rend assunber by what seemed like a invisible force.
[sub]"Curious..."[/sub] He then turned to Kayle, giving her a brief nod.

Looking at the person, Gabranth would notice that the person was a young, rather short, girl. Upon hearing Gabranth she spun around to face him. "Who's there?" She asked Gabranth. Where'd that other person suddenly come from? Oh well, she's leaving.

 

[Chungus]

"I am Judge Magister Gabranth." He curtly replied, seeing the girl before him as unworthy of the full formal introduction. "And what name do you go by?"

 

[Drakmorg]

"Toph." The girl answered, mimicking Gabranth's curtness. "Anyway, what's a big scary-lookin' guy like yourself doing around here? You don't look like you're in league with those annoying flying things."

Toph... Truly a peasant's name. The cur crawled out of the dirt, no doubt. Gabranth thought, his helmet hiding the resentful look he gave the girl. "These machinations are no ally of mine. And I am not here by choise. I am stranded as it were.
And what of you? Why is a commoner's child such as yourself roaming about a dead city? At a hour this late I might add."

Man, his way of talking reminds me of those stuck up rich people my parents always had over. I can just tell he must be tons of fun at parties.
"You're stranded too huh? Same here. I don't even know how I got here. One minute I was just walking along, then the next it's all hot from fires and there's weird things in the sky shooting at me. I don't even know where I am right now really." Toph answered.

@Outis: What? Wait, you're still here?

"Well do I know the feeling..." Gabranth said, then took a small pause before continuing. "You find yourself in a country known as South Africa. I know not the name the city. And before you think to ask, no. I do not know of a way for you to return to your home."

"South Africa? Never heard of it." Why do I get the feeling that something really weird just happened? Toph replied. "And I wasn't about to ask that. I can find my own way home, thank you very much." She huffed. This ground sure seems weird though. Nothing I've seen before. She turned away from Gabranth and kicked at the ground, causing a chunk of cement at her feet to be tossed up and launched several meters away. I can still do that with it at least.

@Outis: Yeah, I figured I'd try something new out. Figured it would be interesting to play someone who senses things differently from everyone else.
@demon: Yep, one of mine too.
Also, I made a few edits to this post, FYI.

Gabranth watched Toph kick a chunk of cement away, but wasn't all that impressed by the display.
If that is the case, then this cur may be my best chance of returning to Ivalice.
"Is that so? And how do you propose to do such a thing? It is likely you are do not only find yourself in a diferent nation, but a whole diferent realm."

"I dunno. I figured I'd start with asking for directions and see where it goes from there. Of course if what you say might be the case, then I guess I could try finding whoever's responsible for those weird flying things. Maybe they brought me here for some reason, and maybe I can convince 'em to send me back." Toph said, balling up one of her hands into a fist and planting it into her open palm. "Plus I feel like I should find them and knock some sense into 'em anyway."
