Erica finished off the raptor that had switched its focus to Valentine by shooting it in the head, the force of the bullet knocking it to the side instead of making it flop over onto Valentine.
Luggage ate two of the raptors, while Scout shot another to death. The one that was left ran off further into the foliage cover.
Seeing their numbers in the clearing start to dwindle quickly, the raptors outside the ship all shrieked simultaneously, causing another couple dozen to leap out of the bushes and surround the ship. Then started to move in closer, tightening the circle around the ship as their confidence swelled with their numbers.
Group 1!

Maka shouted as her Scythe grew twice the size and glowed white.
She took a massive swing, the ground cracked as the pressure of the Scythe sung over it.
OoC: seeing as witchhunter is a ruddy powerful move, ill say it lasts for just this turn.
She said to Erica, then turned her attention on the Raptors and launch some fireballs, making sure not to hit any allies.

Sniper used his revolver and a mallet in conjunction with his knife to beat and kill any of the monsters he could reach.
Grace and Gerry's shields would continue to hold off the monsters as Gerry and Grace tried to fight them off, Grace using her knife and staff and Gerry only using his single knife.

"My fighters have sighted a group of people in the jungle, under attack by the local wildlife." Garrus replied to Captain Dalis. "Is that your destination too? As he spoke, the fighters and shuttle streaked out over the Yucatan, high in the stratosphere.
The man would find a detailed description of each soldier's service record. George's helicopter took off.

Valentines fireball hit and killed 4 raptors, as they were more tightly packed then they were before. Maka's massive scythe swing cut down 5 of the raptors. The combined effort of the two made the raptor back off and spread out as they were being killed off so quickly by being bunched up together.
Sniper managed to kill the three injured raptors surrounding him. The one that was left shrieked at him, then leaped back into the bushes.
Grace and Gerry were each able to kill one of the raptors attacking them, but the two that were left were still persistent. Noticing Gerry to be less armed, and generally less able than Grace, the raptor disengaged and tried to pounce on Gerry and drag him to the ground.
Reimu blew up the raptor chasing after her to tiny pieces with her series of explosive energy blasts.

...I'm not sure I like this...These people don't seem like the best material... the man thought as he looked over the sheet.
Garrus relayed the question to Mercurean 1, who answered in the affirmative.

"Because any competent commander can win a battle, Javik. But it takes a truly great individual to do so while risking themselves to help those who can't in the process. You know that as well as I do."

Erica saw one of the raptor pouning on Gerry and aimed at it, but her aim was unsteady because of the wound in her shoulder. Deciding she couldn't risk a shot, Erica unleased a small gale at the raptor, then turned around and fired a small burst at those that weren't near anyone else.

The raptors ignored Luggage until it had eaten two of the injured ones, then they started moving away from and outrunning it. They had no interest in Luggage as it wasn't edible.
Erica managed to knock the raptor going after Gerry off course, sending it careening into the other raptor attacking him and knocking them both off their feet. Her gunfire managed to kill three and wound several more.
Seeing that most of their pack-mates were dead or injured at this point, the raptors decided to try and make a retreat, but a louder, deeper sounding shriek reverberated through the forest, then a much larger raptor standing 7 feet tall with a larger, deeper red crest and massive claws and talons that grew red in color towards the tip jumped out from the brush. It's roar seemed to make the other raptors grow courageous again and they moved in on the group, slashing and biting and everyone they could reach, most of them ignoring wounds and dripping blood as they did so.

EMily had ignored the pain of the raptor biting into her from the endorphins in her arm and the adrenaline of the battle. She was going to give it an electric shock, but the raptor retreated. Thanks to their genetic lock-down, her blood that spilled onto her arm turned black quickly and into a fine powder that disintegrated like a sand-like powder into the wind. Sara quickly went over to EMily to patch her up with a spare cloth from the ethereal plane they had stored with a first aid kit.

While that was happening, Gwen slammed her fists against the ground and increased the gravity against the big raptor by a factor of 10.
