Terra blinked twice. Was she alive? How? Her last memory before everything faded to blackness was a high pitch noise and then... nothing. She shakily got up and looked around. What was this black void? Is this where people go when they die?
Distressed, Terra didn't pay the taunting Joseph any mind.

Joseph glares at Scorch.

"Always so interested in this thing, eh? Honestly, no talking to you people at all..." he said. He then disappeared again when he was attacked.

OoC: Ok, so why are we in groups then? Just trying to figure out the whole situation

So I don't get overwhelmed with posts and so we can have a somewhat coherent conversation with the villain.

OOC: @Wacky A quick search on Google suggests that horses can do anything from 16 to 28km/h.

Jacques spurred his horse to a gallop.
"Patience mon ami, it can. Hold on!" They soon arrived at the point where the group were talking to Joseph.

"Alright, I guess I'll just move along." Joseph said as he summoned some more ghostly soldiers. They toss a few grenades at the group, which fall short. The group can probably assume that these bombs are dangerous.

Group 1, go. 20 grenadiers lined up on the cliff-side overlooking the group.

Kanji turned and began to launch medium sized lightning bolts at the soldiers, sweat began to form on his face "Nice try!" he yelled

A new spell went through Twilights mind. She closed her eyes and concentrated. In the air around her, a group of arcane swords and axes appeared. Her horn flashed the deadly magical weapons were sent hurling through the air towards the enemy.

OOC: I guess I'll take that as a no, and that we're in Normandy anyway.

Samus exited the ship with her Varia suit and prepared for combat.

Cloud jumps back as he glows with a blue aura, and bring his sword down hard unleashing a powerful shockwave of energy that makes a beeline for the cliff. The explosive force causes it to crumble a bit.

OoC: @Slenn: We all got blown up at Normandy, then went through what I guess was the Void, then appeared again on the beach with Joseph

Jacques watched the grenadiers open fire on the group as he and Scout approached, and aimed the musket that he had been hurriedly, expertly loading on the ride over. He pulled the trigger again and with a great cloud of choking gunsmoke as the sparkk from the wheellock ignited the flashpan, it launched a lead ball up range where it struck a soldier in the eye. Jacques grabbed the reins again and spurred the horse on to a path up the cliffs.
"We must get closer, within the range of their bombs!" He shouted to Scout.
