Jacques accepted the gun, and waited for Scout to finish setting up the target. While he waited he tried to figure out a little more about the weapon, but other than the presence of a trigger, barrel, grip and what appeared to be some underdeveloped hammer set into the back of the gun he couldn't think of anything. He remembered what Scout had said about the gunpowder being contained inside the bullet and wondered if the hammer ignited a spark on the inside of the casing instead of outside. The concept still seemed impossible. They had wandered far enough away not to notice the voice or the beam of energy that hit the ground.
Terra leaned against the hull of the ship, then looked back at Jean. "Know what I really like?" As she asked that question, a small smile krept across Terra's face. "...Moogles." her smile quickly faded once Terra saw the energy beam come from the sky. "What's that...? "
