"Alright, alright" said Raven as he walked to the middle of the area and yelled "WHO WANTS TA KILL SOME BAD GUYS!!!"

"To be honest I thought the "WEAPONS" were the ones who caused the beam of light, and why would the consider us a threat, we haven't exactly done much...well, that I've seen at least, I haven't been here very long..."

"Killing a wizard in a castle full of uh... treasure, yeah it has that. Of course we may need to get some more people. Get some stuff from town. all of that hero stuff. Also watch out for stray fireballs they happen quite often actually"

Katrina shrugged. "Well, this sounds like fun. Just like first day DragonLords after graduation, adventuring." Crystal nodded as Sepulchure started slowly moving towards the three.

"I don't think so. I think the light simply revealed their hiding place. Like I said, I saw a similar one once before. And who knows why they would attack us? That is their own judgement. And didn't someone attack one of them? I noticed it didn't attack anyone in the group until it was attacked. So, I'd say those types of actions would draw their attention." Cloud said with a shrug.

"You misunderstand. I know a thing or two about Hojo. If he actually cared about the information, he wouldn't write it down. He'd simply remember it. He remembered whole reports and never shared any of the information. Most likely, what you have is merely a distraction. Misdirection at worst. Completely useless at best." Zack said, as he started to walk back out. "Feel free to look up what you will, but from what I've seen, I don't think he is trying to control you, Bane. I think he just wanted you to think he was."

Jean was too busy looking around to notice the strange, misty hole that appeared in front of her. She accidentally walked right into it and started to fall in a mysterious, hazy void. She found herself suddenly suspended in mid air. She was not able to move her arms or legs, as they appeared to be encased in the same strange mist. She looked around frantically, but didn't see anything but the mist. Just as she thought she saw a figure, the mist moved up to cover her mouth and eyes, leaving her only with her hearing, but even that seemed to be distorted.

"Hello dear." the strange figure said. "So your little group is causing trouble for me, and I don't like that. So...you're going to help me kill them." it said, it's voice strangely distorted. Jean tried to shake her head to indicate she was not going to help with that, but the figure just laughed. "Oh, you'll help me. And the best part? You won't. Even. Know it." the figure said and laughed again.

As it laughed, a large amount of mist started flowing into Jean's mouth, which was forced open by the same mist. She tried to scream, but was not able to.

OOC: And I'm back.

Flonne and Etna came wandering out of the space-ship. Flonne led Etna over to the magic portal where some of the others seemed to be gathered around as well.
"Okay, so what exactly is in this for me?"
"Um...I have no idea."
"Then count me out. Unless someone can offer me a good reason to do this, I'm not wasting my time."

"Yes, one in our group did attack it, and then another, and at that point I moved in to assist... but if we were the problem, wouldn't they have stayed to destroy us? Even the one we attacked left after a short while"

Jean was roughly shoved out of a misty portal and staggered back toward the ship, her eyes looking blank and glassy.

@Outis: Meh, figures. I figured that Jean would have been connected to some behind the scenes villain, one way or another.

Phoenix got herself ready, as did Crystal and Katrina.

"A share of loot. Now how many of there are you. Hmm how many heroes would it you need to take on an armada of monsters living in a castle"

"But didn't it simply get distracted by other query? Trust me, I speak from experience. They will not hesitate to attack us, if they deem us threats." Cloud explained.

"Are you so sure? Tseng would probably say I was a bit foolish, but something tells me you're overlooking something. Something important." Zack says as he exits.

With the repairs now complete, Hojo's airship took off once more.

"Excellent. And now Project Alpha can commence. I'll find it yet." Hojo said, as he pressed a series of buttons on his console.

Outside, the airship began to shoot off several hundred or even several thousand pod-like objects.

Phoenix saw Jean and walked over to her. "Jean... You ok there?"

OOC: @Rosh: I've actually been playing with this idea for a while now.

Jean staggered back to the ship so she was visible again. She turned to Phoenix and reached out to her slightly as she walked toward her, shuffling along like a zombie.

Joseph's lair suddenly began to shake violently. Outside Emerald WEAPON was firing upon it.

Phoenix walked closer to Jean, arms at the ready to catch her. "Jean...? Are you ok...?"

Jean weakly moved her mouth as if to say something, but only made a soft mewling noise before collapsing into Phoenix's arms.

Joe grumbled as his palace in China was being attacked, but didn't pay it much mind.

"Loot eh? Sure, I'm in. I've been sorely lacking in new loot." Etna said to the man in the portal.

Flonne noticed Jean and Phoenix and curiously wandered over to see what was going on.
