"It IS..?" Karl struck a thinking pose as he continued over to the group. "You must have an overactive imagination or some other silly nonsense. I don't think it's cold in the slightest." Karl chuckled.
"Capitan Jacques Leveque of the Galleon Craquer." Jacques said, removing his hat and bowing in a single sweeping gesture. He grinned at her, but his expression was one of curiosity, rather than seductive charm.
"The others, they say that you have felt the cold embrace of death, quite recently. Id what they say true?"
"I don't know what else to say then..." Terra said, briefly turning back to Varger. Turning back to Karl she said, "You seem to be the third person who isn't cold... Who are you anyway?"
I hate getting reminded of this... Phoenix thought.
"N-n-nooo... That was...[sub][sub]Gotta keep this in simpler terms...[/sub][/sub] My sister... My older sister." she looked down. Am I going to get reminded about this at every turn?
"Ah." Jacques flushed with embarrassment. "Mes excuses, I thought that... well, you know. I am sorry for your loss, truly. I did not mean to bring it up idly."
"Oh you..." Karl waves his hand at Terra in a dismissive fashion. "I'm an entertainer, but for business terms people quite like a name to the face. I go by Karl. But don't keep me in the dark as well, what would your fine name be Ms..?"
"Oh dear... Did I do something wrong? I haven't gotten such an unwelcomed greeting since I had that reunion with the Climber. That brute never did get my jokes and taste of classical music, well what can you do for a fello that insists on carrying a pickax wherever he goes." Karl shrugged, as he reached Terra.
Jacques bowed his head, holding his hat against his steel cuirass.
"Mes plus sinceres condoleances. My brother and I did not part amicably, but I do know the pain of losing someone I loved all too well."
