"Well, Cardiff is closer than Scotland, so we might as well go there first." Seras said as she waved to EMily. She then stared at Goku, confused that he hadn't noticed her and confused that he had thought she was the one who had said something.
"Yeah, you know, pay. It's when you give someone currency in exchange for goods or services. Otherwise known as 'what you're gonna do because you're the only one here with any money'."
"I wouldn't mind a good fight next time." Goku replied rather absentmindedly. He didn't have much to add on the subject of money and paying as he was never particularly concerned with such matters.
"[sub]If Miss Pauling were around I'd just blow up the place if they try to stop me...[/sub] Ack, fine. How much will it be?" Tavish asked a nearby waiter.
Tavish pulled out a large stack of money and handed it to the waiter. "I don't feel like counting it out. Just take the damn money so we can get out of here."
The waiter looked a bit nervous and ended up taking 400 pounds from Tavish's money, hoping he didn't notice that. "Thank you, sir." He said while quickly walking off.
Goku follows the others outside and pats his stomach before placing his hands behind his head as he walks. "Well, I'm full, for now. So, where to next? Think this one will have some sort of obstacle to overcome?"
"Sooo... Far then? Like, too far to reasonably walk?"
Vicky asked for confirmation.
Code:
"I'm hoping so."
She answered Goku.
Code:
"That last one was boring as hell. Anything other than giving up could be good. Even if all he does is run, that's still a good enough excuse to break his legs."
"I...suppose we could walk..." Seras said, not really liking the idea. "We'd need a map though. I don't know how to get there, since I've never actually been there." she added.
You sit in your ship, not daring to go with the others to dinner as you don't think your ship is particularly safe here. Instead you eat a cold ration pack of the kind you always make sure to keep plenty of. They are not a culinary masterpieces, but they will keep you filled up. On some longer runs however, the taste of them have almost driven you mad.
Since most of the group were standing around on the streets, they'd hear some people talking as they waited for a bus. "They quarantined Cardiff ya know." said one man.
"Really now? I didn't think it was that bad over there." the woman next to him replied.
"Suppose it is. They evacuated the city, then closed it off. Or at least a portion of it anyway. Though they say they may have to close out the whole city soon unless something is done." the man continued before sipping from a coffee.
"Well, as bad as it is for those folks, I'm just glad it didn't happen here. Hope everything gets sorted out soon though." the woman said. After that the conversations seemed to die out between the two.
The older man shrugged, "Hey, could be worse, I heard that it's seven below in most of russia this morning, though their fancy new green furnaces are keeping folks warm."
[hr]The sectoid was lost, but what it DID find was a spaceship.
It looked at it, and slowly scrambled to find a way into it. He began to scramble around the spaceship, scrambling into the a hiding place.[hr]Medic continued to walk. "So. Demoman, how ah these people you're working with?" he asked.
