Mara Triangle, Kenya - 13:40PM
Over the course of 37 minutes, the bug had steathily and systematically killed one-third of the rangers in the conservancy, eiter dragging the bodies off into trees or burrying it on the spot. After this point, the rangers left alive became aware of their colgegues disappearing and radioed for help. Part of the remaining ranger stayed inside a U-shaped building on the main compound, while others stayed with tourist inside a nearby lodge. They didn't want to worry the tourist by saying there was a probable mass murderer nearby, instead saying they had heard reports of a pride of lions being closer to the camp then usual, and that it was best to stay inside until they were driven off.
The bug wasn't paticularly pleased by this development, and moved away from the conservancy, knowing it couldn't kill the rangers when so many of them stayed together in one place, and making a mind of it to finish what it started another time. Moving away, not eating any of the rangers it had killed, it retrieved its bag and left the area, moving on foot to stay hidden. Once it moved out of the foliage, the bug ran for a couple of meters, then jumped up and took to the skies, flying back towards the Mara river.
While flying, the bug saw a peragrine falcon swoop down at a smaller bird, snatching it out of the air with its talons. Impressed by the falcon's speed, the bug decided to catch the falcon. Finding it lacked the flying speed to keep up with it in the air, the bug descended and touched down on the ground, continuing the persuit on foot. The bug could run far faster then it could fly, and knew the falcon had to land some time, and with the level terrain, it didn't have much troube keeping track of it.
After a while of following, the bug saw the falcon land in a tree, where it began eating the bird it had caught. Moving to the other side of the tree to approach in the falcon's blind spot, the bug stopped and took out its first rifle. Taking aim, and shooting the falcon. With the falcon falling out of the tree, dead, the bug stowed its rifle away again, and approached it. Picking the falcon it, the bug bit it in three parts, swallowing each induvidual part hole, then licking up the blood that was spilled. When done, the bug considdered eating the bird the falcon had caught too, but decided against it, flying off and moving on.
