That probably was not such a good idea.
EMily fired a barrage of 6 lightning bolts at Sam.

Gwen pulled up some more earth and fired them at Sam from three random directions.

Joel continued advancing towards Sam, circling around the cyborg as he approached so his back was to the Mason sisters. Joel would lunge and slash at Sam. If the Mason sisters moved to attack Sam from behind, Joel would wait until Sam was stunned or distracted to make his move.

Sam turned as she heard the ground crack and break, and saw the rocks Gwen was sending towards him. He cut apart the three chunks of rock, but had little luck against Emily's lightning bolts. He dodged a couple though, and when the electricity did hit, it concentrated on his sword and mechanical arm, the rest of his armour insulated to an extent. Joel's slashes cut shallow gashes into his armour, but didn't do any major damage.

As a Gunslinger, Roland is a master of all weapons, so he had no problem figuring out Shara's blaster with just a quick look over the weapon. He set it to medium power and began shooting at Sam. The first shot would be slightly off target, but Roland adjusted his aim immediately after so that all subsequent shots would go directly at Sam's chest.

Roland's first few hits connected,scorching the armour and stumbling Sam, but after that he dodged out of the way almost fatser than Roland could follow, charging at him and aiming to decapitate him.

Group One

In a purple flash of light, Gwen sent the energy into her heart, activating Graviton Form.

EMily fired a barrage of 8 lightning bolts at Sam.

If EMily's lightning bolts connected with Sam and stunned him, Joel would take the opportunity to charge at the cyborg and slash at his head.
Otherwise, Joel would back off slightly.

Emily's bolts hit Sam, stunning him and sparing Roland, but he shook it off quickly enough to deflect Joel's strike, sparks flying as the HF blades clashed. He backed off,waiting for his moment.

Group 2.

"Oh. Sorry to hear that..." Seras said. While looking at Joel's arm, she noticed he was shirtless, so she turned away while blushing slightly. "So...Anyway, Shara was upset about me feeding off this cyborg. She even said she was going to do...something after Desperado was taken care of. I'm...short of worried...I don't want to have rio fight her our anyone in the group over this..." Seras said as she recalled the threat and looked quite sad and upset about it.

Joel continued to look confused, now because he didn't realise why Seras had looked away from him. [color=003399]"I can see why she might not be happy. From what she said after we got into the elevator, I don't think she knows anything about vampires."[/color] Joel said. He glanced down at the metal housing on his left side, then continued, [color=003399]"That doesn't make her reaction right. Or wrong, I guess. But if she tries to hurt you just for trying to stay alive, I'll back you up. If you need help, that is."[/color]

Roland set thee blaster to high power but didn't shoot just yet. He would wait for someone else to make an attack against Sam, then fire at the same time in hopes that Sam would have difficulty blocking multiple simultaneous attacks.

Sam sheathed his blade again, but kept one hand on it, eyes looking at the group and waiting for a chance to strike, fingers hovering over the hilt of the blade like an old school gunslinger.

"No... that's not either..." Sophia replied in a huff. "As much as it put me on the edge there... what you did probably saved Seras there." Sophia lamented. "Even now, I don't really know what I would have done if that... guy hadn't shown up. Whoever he was?" Sophia added as she scratched her hair sluggishly.

"I guess we were both pretty stupid in our own ways, huh?" She eventually looked up, almost sounding like she was making a joke but seemed to be missing the energy to really make the joke work.

I hope no one minds me...dropping in.

If anyone had bothered to take a moment to turn their gaze skyward, they would see the shape of a bird hovering above. Even if they did see it they might think nothing of it until the bird got closer, and closer, revealing it to be larger than a car. A monsterous screech, something more alike to an extinct lizard than any bird, is the only warning before a smaller shape of a man detatches and falls towards the fight.

As he falls he pulls two shot blades from twin sheaths on his waist and aims then downwards, straight at Sam's back.

Vicky replied to Sophia, looking way and glancing at the far wall.

"And yeah, we were."

She answered Sophia, her voice sounding completely serious.

"T-thank you." Seras said as she focused on Joel's face.

Joel slowly approached Sam again, intending to attack after the Mason sisters. However, he deemed the sudden arrival of the lizard-bird-riding man sufficiently distracting. Joel slashed at Sam's midsection, as the new arrival fell on Sam's back.

<color=purple>"Incoming mass from above!" Gwen alerted.

"What the fudge...?" EMily exclaimed as the lizard dropped down. She shook her head as a blight flash of blue light erupted from her as she activated Photon Form.

While Gwen was in Graviton Form, she was still building up energy. For the moment, she exerted a gravity well worth 2 g's to try and lock Sam in place while Joel would get his chance.

Sam looked up as he heard something, seeing someone come down from above with twin blades. He parried their attack, throwing them back into the air. However, he could not block Joel's slash, and ended up with a bloody gash on his abdomen.

Sophia winced a little against Victoria's bluntness. "You don't have to say it so assuredly, jeez."

"But no, that's not what I meant." She said as she shook her head slowly. "What I mean is, regardless of how stupid or dumb you might think it was, what you did gave Seras enough time to get help from that other guy... whoever he is?"
