When you and the others start moving into the base, you pick up a nearby HF sword, to replace the heat knife you used, and swing it around a little to get a feel for the balance before taking a sheath. You strap it to your belt and sheath the machete. You are still not happy with the length of it, but it is better than the knife. As you sheath it, Roland steps up return the blaster. You nod and reload it, telling him you might give it to him in the next fight as well.

"He sounds impressive." Samus said to Shara, putting her helmet back on. "But for now, we must continue." She started walking further into the base with the others.

You ready your blaster, unsure of what lies ahead. When EMily warns about the large amount of electrical energy, you decide more firepower will likely be needed. Telling the others you will be more useful from up above, you hurry back to your ship. Before leaving, you give your blaster to Roland along with a couple of extra batteries.
As Emily pointed to the warehouse, she was interrupted by another rumble. And then the warehouse burst into a cloud of dust and splinters as something exploded out of it. It was an absolutely gigantic spider-like mecha which turned towards the group, raising it's head for a loud, screeching mechanical roar.
The man that Sam sent flying with his block landed (after an almost comical amount of airtime) among the group.
"So," He starts, sheathing his blades, "None of you are angsty breakdancing cyborg ninja-"

It was at about the same time as the giant spider showed up when Seras jogged up. She considered this may have been a bad time, but she decided to stick around.

The mecha stopped in it's tracks, and a giant hologram appeared in front of it's head. It was a feed of the mechas cockpit, and showed a suited man with a large Cuban cigar sitting at the controls. It was the man from the security video. "So you're the ones that have been wrecking my organisation. Too late, as usual."
"Colorado state senator Steven Armstrong, at your service." Armstrong said with a self-important smirk.
"Doom guy..?" Sophia repeated, the way she repeated it mirroring her look of bewilderment. "I'm... not sure exactly what I think about that." She eventually replied.
"But that's what I think, and am really too tired to really think of it otherwise." Sophia blinked her eyes a little, starting to look a little heavy. "Was there anything else you wanted to ask me?"
