As the group pulled him down and cornered him, EMily spoke.

"Please, spare me. How is war the only solution to your current predicament?"

<color=purple>"I'm with her. We've said it before to your comrades and will say it again. You're only being reckless and it will be your undoing. Why in all that is holy and good would we ever want to help you?"

"Say hello to the cyber demon for me." He said wildly hacking at Armstrong.

Armstrong glowed yellow for a second, as Joel managed to cut a long and bloody gash along his abs, then let off a pulse of energy that threw anyone near him away, but did little if any damage. He looked at Emily. "Like I told you, I have a dream. A dream that one day, everyone in my grand nation will control their own destiny." His voice slowly got louder and more animated. Anyone could tell he was passionate about his vision. "A land of the TRULY free, dammit! A nation of action, not words, ruled by will and strength, not corrupt comities! Where the law changes to suit the individual! Where power and justice are back where they belong; In the hands of the people!" He finished his rant triumphantly, holding out both hands.

The Space Marine got up after getting knocked down and continued his strategy of charging and slicing at Armstrong. He didn't really seem to tire while doing so either.

Seras hoped Armstrong's defenses had been weakened so she shot at him with her shotgun.

Joel slammed into the ground, and slowly got back up. [color=003399]"Please, keep talking. It'll make it easier for us to kill you."[/color] he said as he slowly circle around behind Armstrong again, hoping the others would draw Armstrong's attention.

A few of Seras' shots entered his wounds, making him stumble, but he retaliated by charging over to her and delivering a two-handed hammer blow on her head. "Fuck all these limp dicked laywers and chicken shit bureaucrats!" When Doomguy tried to slice him again, he delivered a gutpunch that would probably wind him and crack his armour. "Fuck this twenty four seven spew of trivia and celebrity bullshit!" He began winding up a punch. "Fuck American pride! Fuck the media!" Unless Doomguy could recover in time, he would uppercut Doomguy before he could recover, sending him flying. Samus went in close, firing a missile at him, but he merely batted it away. "Fuck all of it!" He shouted, punching Samus in the chest hard enough to crack her armour in two and knock her over. "America is diseased. Rotten to the core." He began pacing back and forth as Samus tried to stand. "There's no saving it. We need to pull it out by the roots. Wipe the slate clean. Burn it down!" He punched Samus again to knock her to the ground, then stomped on her to make sure she'd stay down.

Joel, taking advantage of the fact that the others had sufficiently drawn Armstrong's attention away from him, ran up behind the senator and attempted to cut him in two at the waist.

Gwen put a time-slow field around Armstrong to reduce his reaction time by two.

EMily rushed over to Samus to deliver some of her energy to repair her suit.

Seras was floored and stunned by the hit. She was able to notice him beating the snot out of people. Now well and truly pissed, she pulled out her pistol and aimed with impeccable accuracy to hit Armstrong in any weak points that had been opened up.

 

[Kirke]

You wake back up with a blazing headache, and it takes you a moment to recover before you remember the on-going fight. Doing a tight turn, you race back towards the mech. While en route, you open a channel to Samus and ask for a status update.

"And from the ashes a new America will be born! Evolved, but untamed!" Armstrong continued his mad rant. The time field slowed him enough for Seras' shots hit a few weak points causing him to stumble off Samus, and right into Joel. The sword bit into his side, lodged in his body, but he turned and pulled it out, the wound starting to heal, and grabbed Joel, trying to throw him away. "The weak will be purged, and the strongest will thrive! They'll make America great again!" He roared.

Samus had pulled her helmet off earlier, so she didn't hear Shara's request for an update. Emily fixed up her suit a bit, though Samus still coughed up some blood, and would need a second before she was in fighting shape again.

Seras rushed at Armstrong and tried to tear the wound Joel caused open further, using her own two hands since she had nothing else.

Joel quickly backstepped out of Armstrong's reach when he began turning, hoping Seras' attack would slow the senator down.

 

[Slenn]

"Take deep breaths, Samus. Try and stay alive." She advised as she continued to pour energy into Samus at a steady rate.

Gwen continued to hold up her time-slow field around Armstrong.

 

[Kirke]

You approach the combat zone expecting the worse, and is both relieved and surprised when your scanners pick up a fight on the ground. After a low and fast pass you turn and set down some 100 metres from the fight. As soon as you set down you open the hatch and rush away with sword in hand.

Samus did so, closing her eyes and focusing.

Seras managed to open the wound further, but it was already healing. Armstrong grabbed her by the throat, trying to crush her neck, charging up an attack in case anyone tried to interfere.

Joel moved behind Armstrong again. Using the fact that he was distracted and had a reduced reaction time, Joel thrust his sword at Armstrong's heart from the rear, putting all of his weight into the attack.

Seeing that most of the group was down for the count, the man approached Armstrong slowly, his pilfered HF blade lazily stuck throgh his belt. He waited for Armstrong to inevitably block or shrug off any attack that came his way before speaking up. "You know what Armstrong? America is blighted, and you," He raise his hand and pointed at the senator, "You look like the perfect man to cut away the rot." He stepped within adiquate punting distance, "I see it now, your not greedy at all."
