With a sweep of his hand, Igor summoned another six cards, forming a hexagon around the first card, on the table. "Each reading is done with the same cards, but the results are always different." he explained. With another chuckle, Igor continued, "Life itself follows the same principles, doesn't it?" As Igor flicked his wrist, a card flipped over, revealing its face. Seras would likely not recognise it. "The Tower, in the upright position, indicates the immediate future. It seems a terrible catastrophe is imminent."

"Uh...who even are you people? What am I here?" Seras asked.

Vicky weakly shrugged and accepted the sandwich EMily was apparently offering her, giving her a

"Thanks."

As she leaned against the wall, slowly sliding down into a sitting position before starting to eat.

"You will learn these things, in time." Igor said, as he flipped the card opposite to the Tower. "The Moon, in the upright position. A card indicating 'hesitation', and 'mystery'. Very interesting indeed. It seems you will encounter misfortune at your destination, and a great mystery will be imposed upon you."

"Don't worry about it... It's a reasonable question." Sophia said, removing her armless glasses from her face and rubbing her eyes a little, looking back at Winona as she patted her back. "I should really be thanking you for being so reasonable."

"As for college... everything really. Initially I joined just to learn how to control my powers better, but then as the months went on, I realized there were more things to life than that. So I started broadening out with stuff like math and writing and sciences." Sophia explained. "I've been really busy these three years or so." A look on her face like she'd seriously enjoyed the time she'd spent there, but had gone through a lot of work to make it through as well.

"What destination?" Seras asked, since she didn't even know where the group was going.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Samus' hand left her paralyser. "How did you get on this ship?"

 

[Slenn]

<color=green>"Oh it's no problem at all." She said, making a bright smile.

<color=green>"It sounds like you're prospecting for good ideas and information. Pursue whatever drives you. They say if you find the job you love, then you'll never have to work a day in your life."

"You're most welcome." EMily said. "Anything you want to talk about before we land the ship?"

"That, I do not know." Igor replied. "I do know, however, that in the coming days, you will enter a contract of some sort, after which you will return here. The coming year is a turning point in your destiny; if the mystery goes unsolved, your future may be forever lost. My duty is to assist the guests of the Velvet Room, to ensure that does not happen." As Igor spoke, he waved his hand over the table again, causing the cards to all vanish.

 

[Random Fella]

The troll looked at the woman and scratched his head.
"Ah remember a festival, we had some of tha' good stuff mon', me head be kinda cloudy"
He looked at the other members surrounding him
"If I wasn't summoned here, than someone must'a sent me here through a portal, maybe some of that Zandalari voodoo"

Vicky ate by taking large bites and chewing and swallowing quickly.

"What do ya mean?"

She asked EMily in between bites while keeping her gaze focused on the opposite side of the room.

 

[Zepherus14]

"Yoou could say something like that I guess..." Sophia replied, looking a bit bashful herself. "I've heard the idea of going to find work lots of times already... I still don't know what I'd like to do with the rest of my life. [small]Honestly I'm still trying to catch up with everyone else for now[/small]." Sophia said as she twiddled her thumbs. "Everyone at the college was been wonderful to me, but it's still hard to get through when you have to learn things on your own in the end."

"You guys learned how to use your powers mostly by yourselves, right?" She eventually asked.

 

[Slenn]

"I dunno, I haven't heard much about you after we downed Monsoon. I just want to make sure everything's okay."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"Hmm... You're not the only one that randomly came here." Samus said.

OoC: She's wearing the Zero Suit right now. Skintight blue jumpsuit.

"...Can I go now?" Seras asked.

 

[Slenn]

<color=green>"I'm sure there's plenty of time and plenty of space in that head of yours. The mind is a vast place in very small space." She tapped on her forehead. <color=green>"Our father and mother were good teachers. Although it would've been impossible for us to do the things you see us do if we didn't try things out for ourselves. In fact, diving into the world on our own was how it all started. We tell everyone this, but even if we didn't have these powers we'd still be interested in the things we like."

She took a breath.

<color=green>"Our gifts are channeled by our imagination and intuition. When we learn about something and understand it, then the more we are in tune with the forces we use. EMily saw basic electric field lines once she could understand them. Of course we may misunderstand sometimes. But the better we could understand them, the better our vision was. I know my sisters have told you about the fairies that I see. That's how I always envisioned neutrinos." She made a nostalgic sigh and put her head between her hands. <color=green>"Even now I can see them flying through the ship without a care in the world. Nearly massless particles that have no electric charge, and they only interact through gravity and the weak nuclear force, the force that I use. You can hardly ever find them, always evading detectors. But I can see them. How EMily sees electric and magnetic field lines work the same way. We use our imaginations."

Igor nodded. "One last thing; this is my assistant, Margaret." he said, indicating the woman to his left.
[color=4997d0]"I am here to accompany you through your journey."[/color] the woman, now identifiable as Margaret, stated.
"We shall attend to the details another time. Until then, farewell." Igor said, as Seras felt herself waking back up, the Velvet Room fading into darkness.

"Right, diving into the world. That really does change people..." Sophia mused to herself in reflection. "But magic isn't really something you can just go doing willy nilly though, a friend made that very clear to me. You have to give it respect."

"But anyways, doesn't seeing all those, neutrinos as you put it make it hard to see? Or are there only a few in a room at a given time?" Sophia asked, looking across the area like she too was looking, but obviously wouldn't see anything.

Seras looked around groggily, then confused. When she saw Faro holder her, she quickly got to her feet. "Th-thank you." she said as she walked away from him.

"I'm not dying, if that's what you mean."

Vicky replied to EMily before finishing off her food with one last giant mouthful.
