Alain didn't pay much attention to most of what Eric was saying, but quickly turned to face him when Eric called him a coward. "I'm a coward? You have a full suit of armor and you still hide behind a magic shield! All I have is some scrap metal and a hammer!"

"Yeah! And you have all those runes! Protection is just being smart! But the difference is that I actually go help when something happens and not let the others do it! I bet you couldn't spend a day in my shoes!"

Alain didn't even hear Joel now that he was caught up in another argument with Eric. "You don't help anything! You just run around and hide behind that shield, not doing anything! And if I was put in your place, I might actually do something smart, like find a weapon at least!"

"At least I actually ran towards the danger! And I have been trying to get a weapon but... Last time I got a sword, I almost cut my arm in half." He said the last part with some embarrassment.

"So you can't even use a weapon. How does running into a fight and getting beat up help us in any way?"

 

[Demonjazz]

"I shield other people you idiot! And it's not my fault! I had better things to do than learn fencing!"

"Better things to do? Like what, learning the best ways to get hit?"

"I was the middle Linebacker in my football team! One of the most important positions."

Shara opened the ship door, allowing the Masons in. Samus watched as they arrived, taking her helmet off.

"Yeah, well this isn't football, you know. I spent five- err, twelve years in a wasteland! That's real world experience, there! Not some stupid game!"

 

[Demonjazz]

"Well it's not my fault I wasn't born in some post-whatever land! I was going to school! Also I spent three years facing much more powerful opponents in The Realm. I was called The Shield of the west! Cause no one got hurt when I was around!"

"Yeah, nobody got hurt except yourself when your team trusted you to touch a sword. And I wasn't born in the wasteland, I went there by choice!"

 

[Demonjazz]

"Then you must be awfully stupid to go there."

"It was either that or stay in Era and never even leave my house. Besides, I brought hope to humanity! I used magic to bring water during the drought, or to make crops grow during famine. You may have been 'The Shield of the West', but I was the Child of the Cataclysm. I saved the world!"

"I saved the world too! There was this guy named Venger and he was always trying to kill people but me and my group always stopped him... Mostly me of course."

"So your entire team could barely handle one villain?"

Sophia lifted her head up from the bed when she heard the knock at the door. Feeling slightly groggy from being awoken abruptly she looked over at the doorway, somewhat wondering if she'd even heard the door or not. "Yes, is someone there?" Sophia called out, before looking over at the empty plate of toast she'd slowly finished before nodding off.

Victoria would find that the door was open, and the chocolate smell in the room was quite faint, even for her sensitive nose.

"It's Victoria. Just came by to see how you're holding up. I'm not interrupting anything, am I?"

Vicky called through the door. She wouldn't try opening the door until she got a response from Sophia.

"I-I was just sleeping..." Sophia answered back as she slowly tried to uncurl herself from her blanket prison again, a tone of sleepiness still on her voice. "But, please come in." She said once she finally got herself somewhat out, now sitting on her bedside as she rubbed her eyes.
