You point out that you're pretty sure you killed one of the knights, but leave to yourself that you still believe her powers to be utterly insane. Sighing, you tell EMily that you cannot think of anything that justifies killing an unarmed prisoner. Besides, you don't follow your head, but your gut. You can tell Sophia is not a mass murderer and you can tell that Seras is not anxious over what she has done, but rather how others have reacted to it. The reason you left in the first place is that you know others would have been quicker to forgive her than you, and you did not come back to kill her either. That, you conclude, is the best she'll get from you.

Meanwhile, Right Outside the Ships

With the unmistakable sound of someone dividing by zero, a hole in the universe opened up. This was made more noticeable by a person walking through the hole, seeming not to notice the change in terrain. With a panicked yelp and a loud clattering sound, the girl stumbled and fell. [color=006d5b]"What the hell just happened!?"[/color] she yelled, after a short pause. If any of the group members were good judges of Earth accents, they might note that she was Australian.

Faro and Seras were both outside, so they walked over to the girl. "Uh...ello there." Seras said with a small wave.

 

[Chungus]

"Are you done?" Elm asked Sam, plainly.

[color=edc393]"Yeah, yeah. Let's get going."[/color] Sam responded, at first a bit dismissively, but his tone returning to usual as he spoke. Turning to Elm, he asked, [color=edc393]"Where to?"[/color]

"I've not recieved a notification that our objective has changed. However, before we return to Realm - 223, any damage we have sustained should be repaired. Your arm aside, do you need anything repaired?" Elm questioned.

Sam pressed and held the second button on the side of his helmet to have the faceplate slide back down and looked over the display, seeing a notification he largely ignored before. [color=edc393]"Here's one. Says the forcefield generator's offline. Probably got fried when I was struck by lightning."[/color]

"I see. Then let's get your suit repaired. If at all possible, we'll have your arm reattached while the repairs are taken place." Elm stated as it began hovering down the hallway. Sam wordlessly followed behind.

 

[Slenn]

"I didn't think you would think of anything that justifies that. She's a murderer who killed someone for power." She chuckled. "I follow my head every day. It's precisely the reason why I'm not jumping to the same conclusion as the knights: 63 murders by chocolate magic and Sophia's the only known chocolate mage in her world? To them it sounds like she did something terrible. But to me it sounds like there's something missing." She shrugged. "In the end, I'll be talking with Seras, as I should have long ago."

She took a few steps outward, but then remarked:

"By the way. Don't ever call my or my sisters' powers 'insane' again. It's a word I don't like along with 'stupid.'"

She left the ship to see Seras and had a half-lid gaze on her. She did notice the Australian girl, but wanted to speak with Seras first.

"Seras. We need to talk."

"Uh..." Seras said while looking between EMily and the sheila. Eventually she went with EMily. "Don't scare her away." she said to Faro as she walked with EMily.

Faro looked blankly from Seras to the new girl. "Hello...there..." he said, trying to sound friendly.

The girl slowly got to her hands and feet, brushing dust off her clothes with her left hand. With her right hand, she began tapping the ground in front of her with a white cane. [color=006d5b]"Why am I on a mountain?"[/color] she asked, staring in the general direction of Faro, Seras and EMily. They would likely notice her eyes were almost white. [color=006d5b]"And what's this about murders?"[/color]

You shake your head, wondering to yourself if you should simply take off and leave. You say aloud to yourself that you will call what's insane 'insane', what's stupid 'stupid', and use any other word that fits the bill for what you mean. Considering all the worries and troubles in the world, why start worrying about words too? You call back into your ship that you will take off now and begin the journey towards XCOM. You also send the same message to Dave. A minute after, you take off and head east at a rather low cruising speed.

 

[Slenn]

"I have to be perfectly honest with you. I didn't know the full story about this until you talked with me and I talked with Shara. But I should have addressed the body you dragged away from that complex weeks ago before this conversation. Right now, Seras, you are breaking my trust. I don't care if you think you're no longer human. To me you're a human with a bloodlust that needs to learn how to control it. Shara is considering reporting you to XCOM. I suggest you stay away from her from now on. Keep your calm and your mind off of things bloody. As for me... don't ever touch me or my sisters from now on. I will not lend a single drop of my blood to aid you in any way. Not until I've obtained your trust again."

The other two sisters got off the ship.

Seras' expression went from shocked, to slightly angry, to sad and defeated. "[sub][sub]I'm...Okay...I'm sorry...[/sub][/sub]" she said before hurriedly sulking off into Dave's ship.

Faro shrugged. "I don't really know."

Joel watched as Seras entered Dave's ship, not knowing what had gone on outside, as he had zoned out.

[color=006d5b]"Well, who might know?"[/color] the girl asked, tentatively advancing towards Faro.

 

[Slenn]

"You're forgiven." EMily said as Seras ran off. A single tear ran down her face. She slammed one of her feet against a tree hard.

"Dammit! I should've talked about this to her earlier and not look like an idiot about this stupid murder business." She leaned against the tree with her hands covering her face.

<color=purple>"Oh stop it. You are not an idiot, Emily." Gwen said, coming up from behind her.

"Give me a moment okay?" She started crying out loud and, in a rare sight, dropped the f-bomb. "I should've fucking knew better about this. Caius drops the group, he doesn't trust me to hold a rational secret, and now I made myself look like a dumbass in front of Shara."

<color=purple>"And you are not a dumbass. You are a brilliant star."

The two sisters embraced.

"Uh...her?" Faro said to the girl as he pointed at EMily.

Seras numbly walked into the ship and wandered around while looking at the ground/her hands. She was most certainly crying.

"Well, the state considers it a public service, but it is still nice."

Victoria leaned back and laid down on the rock, lacing her fingers together and resting her hands on her stomach.

"Yeesh, that must have been rough."

[color=006d5b]"Who?"[/color] the girl asked, simply, having no idea Faro was pointing, let alone who he was pointing at. With a sigh, she offered him her arm. [color=006d5b]"Could you lead me over to whoever it is you're talking about?"[/color]

Joel got up and began walking after Seras. [color=003399]"What's wrong?"[/color] he asked.

"...Oh! Oh, sorry." Faro said as he seemed to realize this girl seemed to have trouble seeing. "Uh...Emily, right?" he asked as he took the girls arm.

"[sub][sub]I made a mistake...I'm a murderer...[/sub][/sub]" Seras said as she threw herself against a wall and started pounding on it.

 

[Slenn]

"D-did someone say my name?" She said, sniffling and looking over Gwen's shoulder from hugging. Gwen let go, and EMily wiped her nose with a handkerchief from her satchel. Her eyes were still quite wet.

[color=003399]"Wait, what? What happened?"[/color] Joel asked stopping near Seras.

[color=006d5b]"It's okay."[/color] the girl said, staring straight ahead. This might make EMily assume the new arrival was looking at her.

"Ummm.... hello. What's your name?" She said, wiping her eyes.

Winona continued to remain silent.
