The only person Samus should be looking at is the one knight heading directly towards her to cleave her in half, along with Gwen and the commander.
Anchoring himself like he did, the commander was able to get an astounding angle to attack from. As he fired his shots, one managed to land a critical hit in the knights shoulder. It would be hard to notice from the distance that it struck, but it would far more apparent as the knight came within striking distance. As he went to swing, the bullet in his shoulder teared the muscle around it, forcing the knight to fumble the swing. Instead of cutting through his opponents, the blade impacted the side of the hole, missing the commander by mere inches. The knight then flew passed them, slamming into one of the tail fins of the ship hard, blood splattering against the side of it as the knight continued to fall. From that day on, that commander had finally evolved from a mere mook, to a god among mooks.

Blindsided by the two sisters, the knight's dim armour didn't help him as he flew to the back wall, his helmet partially crumpled against the pressure of the hammer. He didn't move as his body just slumped there.

"A trial is for someone who could be proven innocent, how could you possibly argue against the vile magic she harbours?!" Haggard roared angrily as he blocked the strike again. "She already has chocolate magic, you KNOW she has it! There is no turning back from such a revelation! A trial would only give her more time to acquire the horde she WILL look to obtain! A coward is one who would not try to stop an outcome far to horrible to imagine." He continued as he pushed Sara back.
